Those fetal abnormalities only become visible on scans during the 3rd trimester. Forcing women to give birth to doomed a fetus carries an unnecessary risk to her life. But those that hate women don't care about them.
Second semester now - they are improving but often they will wait and do more scans and maybe amniocentesis which delays things Personally I think the nastiest thing the “pro-life” movement has done is demonise women making these decisions - these are wanted pregnancies and the reality is often heartbreaking for the family. The term "pro-life" is meaningless given their heartless attitude towards the lives of women and children.
If a person is "clinically brain-dead" and essentially only kept alive by a machine, that's not quite the same.
Were I in this situation as the father, I would have pushed for the mother to have an abortion. Since I'm not the father, and since the parents here chose to give birth, I see no conflict whatsoever. They got to choose. That's the whole basis of being pro-choice.
