So some kids get the once in a lifetime opportunity to go to our nation’s Capitol and sing our National Anthem. They practiced day and night, they looked forward to it with great excitement. Then, when they’re in the middle of the song, the capitol police shut them down because the anthem might offend someone. Offend who? If you can’t sing the anthem at America’s capitol, then where can you sing it?

Everyone here, be you Republican or democrat, conservative or liberal, or anything in between, should admit the capitol police really blew this and ruined the experience for the young Americans who proudly sang the anthem of our country.

I really hope this isn’t what our country is coming to.

Not "allegedly," the Capitol Police actually did this. They're claiming "miscommunication." Something tell me that if replace that choir with Lizzo playing Madison's crystal flute before twerking, there would have been no "miscommunication."

    Sounds like a simple miscommunication.

The song is only 90 seconds long. Think about it. Someone had to complain and report it. Then someone had to communicate it to the cops on the ground. Then someone had to run over and tell them to stop. All in less than 90 seconds.

If this had been the ‘other anthem’ CNN would have had camera crews there asking them to do it again.

Absolutely. This would never have happened with the so-called "black" (or as we are supposed to write it now, "Black") National Anthem. This is just more evidence of the rotting of our culture.

And if anyone from the Capitol Police even dared to stop it, Al Sharpton and his bullhorn would have a thing or two to say.

How is it bullshit? Nobody is allowed to do musical performances there without prior approval. The officers didn’t know the performance had been approved. Doesn’t seem like the woke conspiracy you all do desperately want it to be.

Why do you think someone had to complain about it? Wouldn’t you expect capitol police to be patrolling the capitol?

"Although popup demonstrations and musical performances are not allowed in the U.S. Capitol without the proper approval, due to a miscommunication, the U.S Capitol Police were not aware that the Speaker's Office had approved this performance," USCP said in a statement to Newsweek.

WHO ARE YOU GOING TO BELIEVE, ME OR YOUR LYING EYES (AND EARS)? Tyler O’Neil: Children’s Choir Director Responds After Lying Capitol Police Claim They Did Not Stop Kids Singing the National Anthem.

“That’s a bald-faced lie,” Rea, the man who organized the trip, told The Daily Signal. “You can see clearly in the video, they literally stopped him before they finished singing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner.'”

The hatred that some of the Left shows our children, and our nation, is difficult to fathom.

Is that what this government is coming to?

    Censoring the national anthem-

I guess the kids did not take a knee.

Cops weren't aware they were given permission. If capitol police see someone violating capitol rules, should they ignore it?

Was there some kind of standing order to stop singers?

Then again, even if there is a standing order there is also such a thing as discretion. If the kids were not hurting anybody then the kids were not hurting anyone and there is no need to intervene.

I bet nobody so much as complained. This may be just another Capitol Police Officer Busy Body, operating on the same level as the Capitol police officer that shot an unarmed woman in the face.

What's the fad term? "Bad Optics"- for sure. But we should wait until all the facts are presented before passing judgement.
