What if he didn't personally collude, but just tried to cover up after the fact for some in his campaign? Say, for instance... I don't know... by firing the FBI director who was investigating, for example. Or one of many possible actions that a Prresident could take to impede anybody from investigating them. Do you believe he should be impeached, if that's the case?

Ok. So if it is your "honest" opinion that a President is above the law, I guess we simply disagree. But do remember this position, because you yourself will be the only judge of your own hypocrisy.

Do I need to spell this out?

WASHINGTON (AP) — A unanimous Supreme Court ruled Monday that states can count everyone, not just eligible voters, in deciding how to draw electoral districts.

The justices turned back a challenge from Texas voters that could have dramatically altered political district boundaries and disproportionately affected the nation's growing Latino population.

The court ruled that Texas' challenged state Senate districting map, using total population, complied with the principle of "one person, one vote," the requirement laid out by the Supreme Court in 1964 that political districts be roughly equal in population.

The issue, though, was what population to consider: everyone or just eligible voters.

The challengers said the districts had vastly different numbers when looking at eligible voters, in violation of the Constitution.

"Jurisdictions, we hold, may design state and local legislative districts with equal total populations; they are not obliged to equalize voter populations," Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, summarizing her opinion for the court.

Ginsburg said that "history, our decisions and settled practice in all 50 states and countless local jurisdictions point in the same direction."

Two rural Texas voters challenged the use of total population data in drawing state Senate districts because they said it inflates the voting power of city dwellers at their expense.

In Texas, and other states with large immigrant populations, urban districts include many more people who are too young, not citizens or otherwise ineligible to vote. Civil rights groups said forcing states to change their method of constructing districts would have damaged Latino political influence.

    https://www.usnews.com/news/politic...total-population-count-in-electoral-districts

Currently, all states, with some minor variations, use total population for redistricting, and that standard is used to allocate congressional districts to the states after each census.

The general population contains millions of people who aren’t eligible to vote: children, legal and illegal immigrants, prisoners, and those who are disenfranchised. Except for prisoners, they are largely concentrated in urban areas.

In short, equal protection translates into roughly 711,000 people (not voters) per Congressional district. "People" include illegal aliens --- particularly in sanctuaries where illegal aliens don't fear being deported. A lowball estimate is that there are 11,000,000 illegal aliens in the country ,,, mostly in Blue States. 11,000,000 / 711,000 = 15.5 == 15 additional districts in those Blue States. The number of electors in each state = Number of House Districts in the state + 2.

Therefore, illegal aliens stack the House with Democrats and vote in our Presidential elections without having to cast a ballot.

If Trump is removed over this Russian nothing, it will mean that the Deep State intelligence community has totally taken over the government and there is no longer any purpose in having elections for president.

As Democrat Senate leader Chuck Schumer explained, he and every other elected official must do everything the intelligence community wants or they will destroy you. We just saw that all but 3 members of Congress agreed in their vote to go to economic warfare against Europe and Russia.

So you still claim that Taiwan is the TRUE China and hate Nixon for ending the Vietnam war. I guess by your avatar you wished you could have remained in Vietnam at war the rest of your life and therefore hate Nixon.

Jimmy Carter was probably the weakest and most incompetent president we had, allowing OPEC to steamroll the USA and his panicking "the energy crisis is real! It is now!" declaring that the world was rapidly running out of oil permanently, urging people not to have Christmas lights. What a loser.

A money laundering charge is usually bogus. Someone buys your car. Turns out the person is as drug dealer. THEREFORE, you money laundered drug money. An investor loans you money. Turns out the investor is a crook. Therefore, YOU are a criminal for money laundering the money.

I believe President Trump has realized what all Presidents do - do whatever the intelligence community, military industrial complex, defense contractors and neocons want or they will destroy you. As long as Trump gives them what they want - meaning keeping the Cold War profits rolling in, they won't remove him. If he continued to push for detente' and world peace including with Russia, they will.

The investigation is absurd in that while it is the FBI's job to investigate such matters, the FBI - not just Sessions - decided it is going to refuse to do its job as an executive office to erase their own authority and turn it over to a private contractor (Mueller and company).

Since the investigation was specifically limited to Russia and Trump, the FBI (ie White House) should respond in-kind by investigating not only the Clintons and DNC, but investigate the background of every member of Congress and everyone one of their staff members and political campaign staff - now and in the past - plus anyone they ever dealt with or discussed ANY financial matter in the entire lifetime - to determine if any of them ever engaged in any questionable suspicious activity of any kind - and issue a press release of everything they are investigating on each, speculating what offenses they might find.

Schumer and Pelosi both meet with Russians and Pelosi even lied about it. Therefore, the entire personal, financial, political and legislative entire life histories of both Schumer and Pelosi - and everyone ever on the staff, in the employment of or involved in their campaigns MUST be investigated by the FBI fully to determine if any POSSIBLY ever did anything questionable in their life - and divulge it publicly.

We the people have a right to know everything about all of them.

In terms of representation per population, it does as they are given 100% the same political representation count as a citizen, exactly no difference whatsoever.

No. that is false. Former FBI Director Comey explained concerning Clinton that even if a person broke criminal laws, even if the person had signed a statement that the person knows and understands the law, even if the person also destroys evidence to try to hide the crimes and even if the person then lies about it all - the person can not be prosecuted because it also has to be proven that the person consciously, knowingly and deliberately committed the crimes specifically for the purpose of acting criminally.

Accordingly, unless there is a recording or written statement by Trump stating he is deliberate committing criminal acts for the specific purpose of committing crimes for the sake of committing crimes. Otherwise, according to Comey, he can not be prosecuted, put before a grand jury or questioned under oath.

Of course. And the Constitution makes no difference whatsoever either.

But that's not what you said. You said (I'm quoting you) "Illegal immigrants already vote". Your changing the conversation proves that you were lying...

Don't know...I'm just asking folks to consider the consequences if he were to be impeached.
Just look at all the unrest in Charlottesville, Virginia...a fatality and riots just because two opposing sides got a little too close to each-other.
But of course, all of that mess has been pretty localized...Now imagine that same sort of scenario,...but on a national level and multiplied by 10...
Even if Trump and his family did break the law, is it really worth going through all that just to see them leave office?

Now... maybe @thinkitout is right, and Trump will just decide to leave on his own. That might not be so bad.
Though if it seems as if he was forced out against his will in any way, things could be bad for us as a country.
Even Mueller simply choosing to release findings to the public could be enough to give the appearance that Trump is being forced out.

That said, I have seen some good points made in this thread for why Trump should be removed from office if he's found guilty.
I might....MIGHT....be willing to jump on board the impeachment train, if you could convince me that the reaction to Trump's impeachment
somehow wouldn't be as damaging to the country as leaving him in office......assuming he's found guilty of course...
