A federal judge can be removed only for bad behavior, whatever that is. Was there some conflict of interest described in the post about Thomas???

Court watchers have done what they can to call attention to Thomas' corruption. He'll never be impeached........but he should be.

 

Thomas has been a disaster in the Supreme Court. But, to be fair, Biden has a high dose of responsibility in allowing him to be there.

The facts are there. Thomas is incompetent, dishonest and borderline criminal. I remember when those things mattered more than partisanship.

I think there should be some checks and balances on the third branch of government, but this does not include ethical standards. I would not support legislation that revises ethical standards for federal judges on the surface because, whatever the substance, it would be unconstitutional. BTW, the Constitution's good behavior standard applies equally to supreme court justices and inferior federal court judges (though not state judges.)

 

Actually, the only excuse Democrats need is that Justice Thomas left the plantation by defending the Constitution against the will of the party of slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, and Segregation.

That is strictly and simply a matter of deciding what good behavior entails, and could easily involve adjudication.

hmm, I don't think so. The real issue is that he is an insane conservative hack. Just because his wife is involved in political issues that he rules on doesn't mean it's corruption though. Were they financially benefiting from his rulings? No, just their insane political agenda as always.
