To deny one sins is to have a sin
To acknowledge one sin is to have no sin

Since the weight of your sins prevents you from attaining your day of flight and prevent you from rejoining the kami in a timely manner, are you denying your sins?

There's a lot of us who're in denial of our sins. Sinning is what brings you or others to suffering. Sometimes we're even capable of convincing ourselves that our suffering is pleasant, or that our wrong thought/speech/action towards others is justifiable.

My answer is yes. Someone who's so entrenched in sin (be it one in particular or many) that they're suffering or harming others must be ignorant to some extent. The weight of that ignorance is what keeps us shackled in suffering.
