If there are any Yankee NATO, Neo-Con, or Ukrainian Fascist swine who still believe that
the Crimea will ever be part of an EU/NATO Ukraine, let them be disavowed of that notion NOW !

& it is time now for the US puppets in the Ukraine to cease their senseless War upon their brothers
in the East and properly negotiate a Federation that guarantees the rights of the Russian majority there –

Or I tell you TRUE, as sure as the sun shines, there will be yet another celebration when Lugansk,
..................the Donbass and a corridor right through to the Crimea will be celebrating their return
    ............................................................................................................................. to Mother Russia

SOUNDBITE (Russian) Vladislav Tuzov, Moscow resident:
"My father, my grandmother and all my relatives from father's side were born in Sevastopol. I served
in the navy there. I received my first uniform there. I often go there on vacation. My relatives live there,
in Crimea. I'm so glad about this great victory!"

SOUNDBITE (Russian) Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of upper house of Russian parliament:
"Today the President of the Russian Federation has signed a treaty with the authorities of Crimea and
Sevastopol between Russia, the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. As the treaty has already started
temporarily functioning and will come into force on a full scale after ratification, starting from this moment
you have become residents of the Russian Federation and we congratulate you from our hearts."

SOUNDBITE (Russian) Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of upper house of Russian parliament:

so we congratulate you, thank you. Crimea is at home today. Hooray, comrades."

One hundred thousand people attended the celebration in Moscow. I'm happy for them. These past decades must have been painful.

The sense of troops singing as they approach and march off.

    And of course

BTW many of Hollywood expected to be busted for making "The Russians are Coming, repeat"
It included Blacklisted people in the credits and dared to portray Russians with humanity.
It signaled the end of the Federal Government's Reign of Terror on Hollywood. And it was too.

Watching the rise of Putin and the nationalistic tendencies of Russians is very fascinating to me. When we compare the rise of similar leaders you can see some very distinct similarities.

I can see a day when Putin is declared the leader of Russia and where Russia expands its empire.

But then everything was back to normal. A typical start of the American film featuring Russian.

    [video=youtube;oWuhdLVSQtY]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWuhdLVSQtY[/video]

Russian in the American film is bound to be evil and cruel sadist. The American people should know that in their troubles are to blame "evil Russian". Not American oligarchs and corporations, not unemployment, not Wall Street .... to blame "evil Russian". And this propaganda all the Western media. including Hollywood.

Russia is the largest country in the world. Russia has all the minerals in bulk. Russia has all the necessary resources (fertile soil, drinking water, ..... has all climatic zones.) Russia must return all their territory. And she will return them. More to expand its territory is not necessary.

Since we are playing out favourite Red Army tunes - here's mine

.Choir and Orchestra of the Red Army - Vecernij Zvon (Evening Bells)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEQntyokA94

Those ev'ning bells those ev'ning bells,
How many a tale their music tells
Of youth and home and that sweet time,
When last I heard their soothing chime.

Those joyous hours are past away,
And many a heart that then was gay
Within the tomb now darkly dwells
And hears no more these ev'ning bells
    .

And so 'twill be when I am gone,
That tunefull peal will still ring on
While other bards will walk these dells
And sing your praise sweet ev'ning bells
    .

Those ev'ning bells those ev'ning bells,
How many a tale their music tells
Of youth and home and that sweet time,
When last I heard their soothing chime

Humanity of Russian people was portrayed.
At the end of the fight, the crowd cheered "Rocky" and acknowledged his speech for peace and brotherhood.
This could not have been portrayed in the fifties.

Russia is just one of the greatest mysteries of history. With all that territory, all those resources, all those opportunities of industrial development, all that scientific advance researches ... it's hard to understand why Russia is not The Superpower of the world.

There is who says that Russians are the problem of Russia ...

P.S. British people has taken over the planet with well less impressive resources.

Russia has never sought to become the power number one. The passion for domination is not in the Russian national character. This is something from Protestant ethic. But we were forced to become huge empire because of our geographical position. Being situated between Europe and Asia, Russia can exist as the huge empire only, or it will not exist at all. This is in the greater degree the huge burden than a privilege. Though it causes envy of our small East European neighbours.

Oh yeah. When it wasn't the evil Soviets during the Cold War, it was the evil East Germans or some Central or South American, e.g. Colombian, government or terrorist organisation that was scaring America.

Then evil Muslim extremists got to take over after a brief transitory period following the dissolution of the USSR and their iron curtain. But now, well, I guess the more the merrier, so now we get to fear North Korea, China, Russia, and big bad Venezuela :D And that's all in addition to practically the entire Muslim world extending from Pakistan to north Africa..

The US have the biggest military budget of the world. So the elite needs a big, terrible bogey to justify this huge financial expenditure. The more enemies for the USA, the more money earns the military-industrial complex.

Yep, that's pretty much what I was thinking. It's the Military-Industrial Complex Eisenhower warned us about.

Philosophers call this technique - hypocrisy (If we are talking about the same actor - Remember Rambo in Vietnam or Rambo in Afghanistan)..... But you're right. In the 50s, it was impossible to imagine. Churchill urged to launch a nuclear attack on Moscow, and Russian and American pilots fought in Korea.

Who told you that Russia is not a superpower? Even in the bad years, Russia could easily destroy any country (or a military alliance). Including the United States and NATO. At the moment, Russia is the single most powerful space power. In Russia, the smallest external debt relative to GDP. In Russia, one of the largest gold reserves in the world. In Russia, the best technology in the field of nuclear power plants. In general, in the field of nuclear. ....I will not enumerate all. You know everything.
Perhaps you mean that the standard of living is lower in Russia than, for example in Italy?

    1. But let's not forget about that Italy after World War II did not fight.
2.What kind of external debt relative to GDP in Italy?
3.After the 90s, the Revolution and the Civil War, Russia for 15 years, many restore. But we must take into account the size of the country.
To make repairs in a small room is much easier than in a huge castle. Is not it? Especially if the "castle" the biggest in the world.
In addition, Russia has always fought. But the war - an expensive business. (By the way, you know that a lot of Russian volunteers fought in Italy together with Garibaldi?)......There are many reasons. I think you know.

Westerners so often mocked that Russia does not rob the neighboring countries. As Europeans plundered their colonies... Pray that Russia did not act European methods.
If you go back to the standard of living. In Russia, the standard of living of the past 15 years is constantly growing. As this issue in Europe?
Russia spits on Western sanctions. I do not know why Westerners are convinced that Russia is suffering from sanctions. For me, it's amazing.
It seems that in the West live only zombies. Really it is impossible to come to Russia and see for yourself? Also Western media wrote nonsense about the Olympics, to the West are so many idiots?

And let's not rush. Let's go back to this conversation through 15 years.

Well no, I was not thinking to 20th century [when it was evident for all that two superpowers, at least from the 50's dominated the globe], I was making a comparison with Britain in 19th century.

Great Britain is "Great" just in its name, geographically it's a not impressive isle on the European continental shelf. For the rest, in the Northern region the climate is not exactly pleasant, in the other regions weather is rather cold, rainy, windy, wet ... surrounding seas are violent and waters are cold.

The only important resources of the isle are coal and iron, UK had to import all the rest [substantially].

Anyway in 19th century it was able to build the greatest planetary empire ever, "ruling the waves", advancing its science and technology to levels unreachable for the competitors.

In the same period, Russia [with substantially all UK was missing] was not able to develop from a continental power to a colonial global power. And pay attention that Russia made some attempts about [remember the American colonies on the other side of the Pacific, but Moscow sold that land and it was not ready to expand its influence in the Pacific Ocean].

    This is the mystery ...
