    It says she billed Medicaid for expensive services that sounded professional, but actually didn't seem very professional upon closer examination.

    It's possible if she was stupid she didn't know that was she was doing was illegal, but it's still defrauding, illegal and unethical, and a lot of money was involved.

    I agree there's a big problem with arcane rules being used to unjustly send people to prison, but oftentimes prosecutors use these same obscure rules against people they think are guilty, stacking a whole bunch of charges to coerce them into signing off on a plea bargain and pleading guilty.

    In the interview she admits that she broke a rule. I think the issue is calling what looks like a mistake a fraud scheme. Since this is a matter of money why not make her pay back the money, fine her, & end their relationship with her?
