Thanks but I still assert that the dinos were wiped out by disease. On t'other hand, elephants, rhinoceroses, giraffes lived to tell the tale and I can't imagine any of them living underground for long? Especially the giraffes.
One would hope (beyond hope) that you at least know the animals you mention came about many millions of years after the impact that eliminated large dinosaurs as the dominant creatures. Disease may have had a hand as it always does but, the worldwide Iridium layer indicates an asteroid impact was the primary factor.
I love turkey, so we should give thanks, at Thanksgiving for that space rock or whatever took out the big dinos. I think this may have been God's way of giving us our Thanksgiving turkey. Attaboy God, you did very, very well. You already knew just how much many of us would love turkey...even if we insult the bird by deep frying him. If it can be fried, Southerners are gonna do it. If you have access to a more healthy meat, like turkey, us Southerners will not stop until we can make it unhealthy. So we deep fried the bird. And now we wonder why it took us so long in figuring that one out. In regards to the dinos, wonder what they would have tasted like, fried? Like eating alligator? Or perhaps they tasted like chicken? Well, the carnivores were probably not that tasty, and the good meat would have been found in the herbivores. Grazers.
You seem to think that it was the explosion that killed all the dinosaurs, but nobody claims that. It was the after effects that had such disasterous consequences. Ya see, when your plant food supplies die off the specialist herbivores quickly die. Are you aware of a little phenomena in nature called the "food cycle"? The large dinosaurs could no longer obtain enough calories, the smallest scavengers would have a field day hence the fact we have birds today.
You would have to pluck them first before you cook them - they had er, feathers ( ) doncha know! If you don't believe me tecoyah will confirm it. He'll believe anything the 'experts' say!
I realize you intended ridicule and insult, but you actually compliment and are simply not bright enough to understand it. Believe it or not, most people do not have the time or energy to garner knowledge and experience in all the sciences and data mankind has uncovered and because of this the are a few who specialize in one or two areas they wish to know more about....we call these people experts and rely on them to provide us information above and beyond that which we could gain otherwise. There are some individuals however, that do not care to learn from the experts because they believe they already know everything and opinion is just as good or better than knowledge. Current data does indeed indicate many dinosaurs used proto feathers as likely insulation or other uses which we simply cannot know. Imprints in fossils make this extremely clear however.
Unlike yourself I'm not interested in 'what we simply cannot know', I'm only interested in what we do know, and as to that, I need to be persuaded by tangibles. In other words, I don't blindly believe everything I'm told - I query, and I challenge. Anyway, you carry on relying on them to provide fake information thereby ensuring their jobs for life (I'm sure they appreciate your support? I know I would if I were among them!! ), and I'll continue my life's struggle - and it's a thankless task to be sure! - trying to convince believers like yourself what charlatans they are. ('proto feathers' jeez - )
