Buttigieg wants to decriminalize knowingly giving someone HIV: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...should-be-legal-to-knowingly-give-someone-hiv

If this is what passes for a moderate for the Dems, I guess I hope that he wins too.

As for Bloomberg, the far left is never going to accept a different former Republican old white male billionaire from New York to replace the current one. He would be unable to shore up their votes no matter how much money he spends.

I would think that Bloomberg spending $39.5 million on anti Trump ads might turn a few people off as well. After the impeachment sham surely the majority of people want to hear less negativity and more about sensible policy?

Democrats, a bunch of rich people, telling poor people they are poor because of those "evil" rich people and the only way to "fix" it is to vote for other rich people, who rant against being rich. It would be hard to make up a better tale.

Bush43 and the Republicans had the deficit down to a paltry $161B heading back to surplus when the Democrats took back the Congress in 2007. Two years later the deficit was $1,400B with their HUGE spending increases an dit stayed over $1,000B for the next three until the Republican sequester and austerity programs got it back down to the $500B's. We need more fiscal conservatives in the Congress and in the WH. Which Democrats are fiscal conservatives and are pledging to cut spending increases and bring some fiscal sanity back to the federal government?

What are the Democrats going to do to keep the strong economy going and keep us out of a recession? The same things they did starting in 2007 a year before the 2008 recession? How'd that work out?

It started when the Democrats took back the Congress in 2007.

Repubs are debt sensitive and the Democrats are spendthrifts yet history has never shown that to be true.

Have you taken any precautions for the upcoming recession? Let me in on your preparations so I can consider whether I need to do the same.

Where are you getting anyone saying Americans will pay 52 trill for Medicare. We are paying now is what we will be paying after Medicare for all. do you thing more people are going to get sick all of a sudden? You understand that when you buy goods the price for those goods are reflective of the overhead of the company that produced them, right. What candidate is for free housing? What do you mean by free college? I hear a couple of candidates say that in Bernie and warren, but even that is a program where the feds pay half and the state pays the other 1/2. And I don't see the problem with that either. let public colleges decide who gets in by merit and not by who can pay.

Dude gave me about 60 pounds of MREs yesterday, I'll likely use them in a hurricane, before a "Trump recession".

That has not been true since Nixon. Reagan ran up massive debs, as did both Bush's. Now there are a handful of tea party republicans who are willing to balance the budget but very few.
Both dems and repubs are equally responsible. the repubs don't want to raise the revenue and dems don't want to reign in services. So we reap what we sow. It is easy for repubs to vote no on spending when they know it is going to pass. They go back and say hey I tried to cut spending and their constituents get the benefit of the increased spending at the same time. Dems want services and don't want to have the cost spread amongst those that benefit but only on those who don't benefit.

Actually as I noted it does. I think you are simply defining "Repubs" and "Democrats" as who is sitting in the White House which of course is folly.

So repubs have zero debt and have added zero debt to states and the nation?

Reagan requested less spending than Congress authorized every year and Congress refused to pass all the spending recincessions he sent to them. Had they past his budgets the deficit would have fallen to under $100B

And of course the Bush41 no new taxes pledge and then he had the Democrat congress which said OK give us new and higher taxes and we'll cut spending. We got the new taxes but not the spending cuts and then they ran against him attafking him because he signed their new taxes.

Bush43 came in with a recession starting but he and the Republican Congress did mostly the correct things to get us into a full recovery and after hitting a one year peak deficit of $400B rapidly brought it down to a measly $161B heading to surplus.

The Democrats 2007(FY2008 ) through 2015 never came close. Their fiscal and economic policies were a disaster and that is what drove spending levels to what we have now as they doubled the debt in the process.

The Republican tax policies produced record revenues and revenue growth. Democrat tax policies have only made things worse and never produce the revenues they claim they will.

It is spending that is the problem. We need more fiscal conservatives back in Congress. That's not going to be found in the Democratic party and we have too many RINOSs in the Republican.

And I still challenge the Dems/left to tell me which candidate on the Democrat side will push for and support more fiscal conservative policies and lower the growth rate of spending if not an actual freeze and hopefully cuts.
