Personally, I usually chose my clothing for utilitarian reasons, not for looks. I personally find the fashion world pretentious and annoying, not to mention disgustingly expensive, but over the past couple years there's been an uptick in creation of clothing accessories that focus specifically on avoiding surveillance. Developments include smart-phone Faraday cages, hoodies that block your thermal footprint, camera-blinding hats and purses, and lens coverings to kill google glass' recording capability an interview with the big name in this form of couture, Adam Harvey, by Wired can be found here I can't really decide if I'm happy about this development. I guess I'd prefer that it not be necessary, and depending on what one's engaged in, it's not (yet,) but I'm happy someone's thinking about it and converting his thoughts into reality. In the end, it comes down to cost. If one can buy counter-surveillance couture for close to the same cost as the clothing they normally wear, why not, right? I know I'd buy 'em.
