An armed society is a polite society...and that included cops. Standing Rock: The police used sponge rounds, bean bag rounds, stinger rounds, teargas grenades (banned), pepper spray, mace, tasers, sound weapons, concussion grenades, water hoses (during freezing temperatures), and attack dogs to subdue unarmed civilians protesting a pipeline from being built on sacred land Minneapolis Protests: The police used tear gas & flash grenades to detain unarmed civilians protesting the murder of George Floyd by multiple police officers Anti-Lockdown Protests: The police used non-violence against an armed militia who stormed the Michigan Capitol Building demanding an end to quarantine, and even called for the death of the Governor
The difference between the three is that the anti lockdown protesters weren’t violent or breaking the law.
And attacked disabled whites in wheelchairs. The usual "whites are the only racist" types are curiously silent.

Your point is valid, you're just making it sortof confusedly imo. The lockdown protesters didn't get riot-cops responding because they weren't rioting, not because they were armed. If they were rioting and armed, it would've been a very different situation. I think what your getting at is that folks don't riot where the victims are likely armed. They tend to stick to places and properties where guns are either restricted or theres a majority of folks opposed to being armed.
