And really, the term Vegan itself implies religion in the sense that Vegans typically see their choice as a way to save the world. A true vegan won’t wear a leather belt or shoes. My car has leather seats. I only call myself a vegan because it’s a fast word to describe not eating meat or dairy. That was called a vegetarian when I was a kid. Now, a vegetarian is usually considered a person who doesn’t eat meat but eats dairy which was called lacto-ovo Vegetarian when I was a kid.

My daughter's boyfriend is Vegan and it's a morality thing for him but doesn't condemn others though he does see it as a "sin". Totally respectful of others choices. I enjoyed looking up Vegan dishes....they are so colorful and flavorful imo. Not my husband though...he gets the left over roast beef.

Once you stop eating meat it does open your mind up to the idea that animals are people too.

And then engulfed by a fantasy. You do realize that animals eat animals, right? Even the ones that don't are upheld by those who do by controlling the populations competing for the same food source.

No way really? Tell me more! So other animals eat animals? How did you come to this startling revelation? Guess what?! Animals also eat their own excrement. Bon apetit!

It's called recycling. Don't be so judgmental.

Many animals are carnivores and thereby have no choice but to eat other animals. If there is a creator, she is pretty sick and twisted eh?

Back at ya. So how long after ceasing to eat vegetables do they begin to become human? Jesus said that it isn't what we eat that defiles us, but what comes out of our mouths because it comes from the heart.

Covidism seems to be more of a religion than that.

Who said anything about being human?

It sounds like Jesus might have had a touch of heartburn.

What kind of things did Daniel eat?

Not to me. I find it mysterious and wondrous. But then again I grew up hunting and fishing, and am pleasantly accustomed to the drama....well, in as much as I am not the prey. ;-)

Again, those details are irrelevant to THEIR argument (that whites are at the top of the tree). Their whole premise is destroyed by the truth.

It appears you're interested mainly in the experiences of various ethnicities .. which is a completely different subject. As for ancient history, what possible benefit is harping on old ills? One of the reasons migrants do so well in the West, is because they move past the the old ills (and for many the traumas are in living memory), in order to move forward. They refuse to let the past dictate their future. Those rich and well educated Asians you refer to, have frequently come from backgrounds in which their parents or grandparents actually experienced things that African Americans only experienced in bad dreams.

Yes, it's true. They're also buying up as much land in the West as possible.

They LOVE that Westerners are now too lazy to work towards private property. It's making the whole process much easier for them.

I am not sure if I qualify as one of them. I came to Canada without much money but have since worked and saved and bought a home.

Most people who hunt care about animals a lot more than your average meat eater. Some people could never kill the food that goes on their plate and would rather leave it to the mysteries of the factory farm.

I ate meat for 45 years of my life. I don’t run around judging people who eat meat. Knock yourself out.

Same in my family. One side migrants from the third world, the other side indigenous and poor. We're all now technically middle and upper middle class - with a few members above upper middle class in terms of net worth.

Was it your generation that immigrated or your parents’ generation?

I can't find any joy in the pain and suffering of anyone. Not humans nor other animals. I can't see any joy in the existence of snakes who swallow prey alive, or in guinea worms, or in parasitic wasps eating prey alive from the inside, etc.

So if you look at the common thread throughout everything we can observe in our universe, everything that grows does so by destroying and consuming something else. This is true whether you are talking about stars, sharks or fluffy kittens. Humans are no different. Even if we can avoid killing and eating sentient animals like cows, pigs and dogs we are still destroying vegetation to live.

If there is a god and this universe is its creation, what does this fundamental characteristic tell us about such a god?
