It has already been determined that states can set their electors as they see fit.
All democrats in purple states have to set those electors based on the national party vote and republicans will likely never control the presidency again with their current platform.

Remove the unconstitutional Reapportionment Act of 1929 and republicans will likely never control the house again with their current platform.

bullocks... france is a small, singular country... the usa is made up of many smaller 'countries' that choose to have their own rights/laws, while being part of a larger conglomerate for safety reasons... we are a republic and choose to remain so...

The fair tax strongly favors the rich and greatly harms the working poor.

Just like any state in the US, France is a state in the European Union. In both instances there is a separation of jurisdiction at both the "state" and "national" level.

Here's a quick course in "rights":
*There is little difference between the US and EU - they both have states that belong to national legislatures (in a "capital city")
*No state "chooses" to have their own-laws that may be in conflict with the Supreme Law called a Constitution.
*The "larger conglomerate" of which you speak passes national laws that surpass that of American "states" and the arbiter of any conflict in laws (between the two) is decided and settled by a "Supreme Court" of the land.
*From here: "What are Federal laws"
*From same link above: "What are state laws"
*What is the difference between state and federal laws?
    *Constitutional Rights

I would guess many issues confuse the uneducated voter...
What does that have to do with anything?

Not really. Read here: Voting rights in the United States - excerpt:
Now, given the "one person, one vote" rule, please do explain how both Gerrymandering and the Electoral College have any reason whatsoever to exist - since both actively manipulate the popular-vote at both state and national levels ...

Yes, more than two centuries ago. Since then we've learned a lot about voting and even more how voting can be manipulated.

All democrats in purple states have to set those electors based on the national party vote and republicans will likely never control the presidency again with their current platform.

From WikiPedia: What was the effect of the reapportionment Act of 1929?
Moreover, it also allows unintegral districts. Meaning a weak district in one part of any state could obtain a district (or districts) far beyond its boundaries solely for the electoral vote-count ...

Partisan gerrymandering I agree on — it needs to be completely done away with and does nothing but let politicians ignore the will of the people.

On the electoral college I have to disagree, it was designed so the smaller states still have a say in the election of our national representative. I believe that it should be made more constitutional and equal however, this could be achieved by elimination of the unconstitutional Reapportionment Act of 1929.

The UK has not YET left the European Union.

And the EC is of no question whatsoever. What the UK has is a "plurality system", where most of the votes determine the winner - but of local elections. Not The Prime Minister, who is seated only if his/her party wins the majority popular-vote ...

just pay your fair share. pick a %, everyone pays the same.

and ya, I've heard all the talking points against. I accept that even as a middle class person hat I pay 1000× more than a poor person, and a rich person pays 1000x more than I do. but that doesnt mean we are all paying our fair share.
