My vote is not against THE FBI and DOJ but high officials and certain agents who believe they are there to act as the agents of society for other than purely criminal investigation and prosecution.
Why wasn't it pursued before he ran for office then? Where were the stones when it came to the Clinton's? Where are they concerning the Biden's?
The individuals within both organizations are subject to the same laws everyone else is, but the code of protecting their own is strong.
The sad thing is, none of them have the stones. They give blustery speeches, pounding the podium, vowing justice when they have power again... then, predictably, nothing happens. What happened with the Durham investigations? Nothing. I'll make a bold prediction: Republicans, when they gain control, won't do ANYTHING other than flap their jaws and pound their podiums to seek justice against anyone. Because, that's all they have ever done. The Clinton's crime syndicate won't be charged, the Biden's family coffers will never be audited. Nothing significant is going to happen. Nothing. Why? I think, at the end of the day, it's because they are ALL so dirty that no one can seek justice against anyone without bringing down their own empire. The only thing that unites them is destroying anyone who comes in from outside the good-ole-boy cabal, like Trump. They don't want anyone they can't control, when someone they can't control is EXACTLY what we need.

And Clinton acts are long past a statue of limitations and were already in the fix except for the Durham investigation into the Hillary campaign. If the Reps take the Congress there will be an immediate committee to investigate, demands for a special prosecutor with possible impeachment. The DOJ/FBI will resist that. Oh I agree there needs to be a total clean out at the top levels of the DOJ/FBI and even at the court level some federal judges should face possible removal.
Would they fire the head of the FBI who is a Republican? Would they fire agents, who are mostly Republicans? Can you name the last FBI director who was not a Republican?

That's great news to me! I thought it had fizzled out and faded away, like so many other 'investigations' tend to do. I don't hold out any hope anything substantive will come of it. I will happily eat my words if I'm wrong! I doubt the stones exist to carry any of that through. I hope I'm wrong. There needs to be a complete and total purge of government all the way down to the janitors, in order to solve the problems we are seeing... but that would be a good start.
