It's amazing the same number of conservatives who are parroting the BLM messages and themes on law enforcement, from the conservative point of view, that they claimed were "Anti American" and hate law enforcement sort of thing. The irony is on this is beyond reproach.

Its DIRECTOR, JAMES COMEY, and, the ATTORNEY GENERAL at the time, LORETTA LYNCH! The nauseatingly obvious disgrace that covered the FBI at that time was not attributable to initiatives spawned by its agents -- no! It was COMEY AND LYNCH!

Generally, yes, but leadership is not based on politics in law enforcement whether it's the FBI or your Marbury Sherriff Andy Taylor sort of thing,. 99.9% of the cases that the FBI does, its rank and file, really do not care what your politics is. And there has been little documented evidence of interference in the FBI by those in the WH that will negate or influence. The last time that happened was Nixon and its investigation into Watergate where Nixon did everything he could to fire the AG from the special prosecutor that Congress agreed to. And that is where Robert Bork got his fame, and not the Senate Hearings in the 1980s on Abortion. Other than that, it's been hearsay, innuendo, conspiracy theories, and so forth, not evidence of any kind that will hold up in a court of law.

NARA has been asking for these documents for over a year, and that is why the search warrant was issued. Each time, Trump did not comply. That is a fact. There is no politics about that. He either complied fully or he did not. the specific documents he had, the TSSCI, TS, S, and confidential records belonged to the US government, not him. Trump can make claims all he wants on the classified/declassified, attorny/;/client privilege, they should have asked "nicely," and so forth, but all that is just excuses, not reasons for what he did. This was not political no matter how you define it.

For Lynch, the only so-called evidence is James Comey Testifying before a committee hearing about why he didn't recommend charges. One of those questions was why he made that decision. He blamed Lynch, which is blaming someone else for your own decision, a common theme on the hill by politicians and leaders of agencies no matter who is President. That being said, even the House and Senate committees found no culpability with Clinton herself, legally, but simply poor decision-making on her part.

But then again, this is really not about law and order, proper charges or not. This is about revenge through the embarrassment of the actions of your party leader, who really does not care whether he follows the law or not.

 

I gave up Republican Party affiliation five years ago, and, if Trump is charged and found guilty, he should be punished according to the law.

We won't know the truth about ANYTHING until both Garland and Trump come out from their respective smokescreens and, ultimately, turn everything involved in this bizarre, unprecedented event over to the Supreme Court.

We 'commoners' can only hope that the loftily-placed bureaucrats who spin EVERYTHING allow the rest of us to see this, too. But I'm not optimistic that they ever will....

What does the Supreme Court have to do with anything? They may eventually get involved on the Constitutional issue of releasing the affidavit, redacted to protect the key parts of the investigation if the DOJ decides if it goes there in not wanting the affidavit to be released. But where I get concerned is the talk about the FBI is not a domestic terrorist organization or its corrupt, or whatever floats the boat of modern conservatives at that time.

That detracts from what is really happened and why conservatives, especially modern conservatives, do not answer the questions of why Trump did what he did. The same was true with Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky's affair. It was not a constitutional crisis, or national security issues, or something like that, but even Democrats struggled to explain his behavior that was very public.
