    I concur.

There were actually two wars, the war where the mission was regime change that was quickly accomplished.

The second war should be called the Iraq Insurrection.

Over 30,000 Al Qaeda fighters killed in Iraq during the Bush administration.

What Americans did they do this to? There are 10 more dictators just as bad. You want to spend 6 trill each on them also? What about the 460,000 that died during that war? What about the 5x those that were wounded, homes destroyed. parents burying children. Their economy destroyed. What about the 25,000 of the cream of our children in mental health treatments or the same number with physical ailments.

That country was better off without the war. We would have been better off without them,

The cost of the Iraq War proves the US didn;t go to war for oil, as was usually claimed by Liberals. Four trillion dollars would have bought a lot of oil. We didn't seize Iraq's oil resources
anyway, the Iraqis' kept their oil revenues. The US could simply have taken them right over. The figure of 1,033,000 dead Iraqis is a gross exaggeration - where did it come from? The
organization Iraq Body Count places civilian deaths in the Iraq War from March 2003 to March 2013 at 122,438, plus 135,089 injured. These numbers included 41,636 killed by explosives
(including 13,441 killed by suicide bombings), 64,226 killed by gunfire, and 5,725 killed by air attacks. Of the 122,438 civilian deaths, only 15,143 could be directly attributed to Coalition
forces. Including deaths since 2013 brought the total dead up to 183,669.

By 2002 OBL was in hiding in Northern Pakistan and the rest of Al Qaeda were either in hiding in Northern Pakistan unable to conduct business or were checked in Yemen and the African Horn unable to conduct terrorist attacks against the uSA.

The Talban was also hiding in Pakistan and licking their wounds after getting their jihadist butts whooped.

It wasn't until a community organizer became POTUS and with the Arab Spring that the community organizer supported 100% Al Qaeda went on the move getting larger and more dangerous and fracturing into other jihadist groups like Obama's JV team (ISIS) that Obama helped to arm in Syria.

DASH aka ISIS (Islamic State Iraq Syria)

President Obama micromanaged the war against his JV team ISIS.
    Obama didn't accomplish much.

Donald Trump became POTUS and the first thing Trump did was to shitcan Obama's PC Rules of Engagement that favored the enemy and caused American troops to bleed and die in the name of political correctness and assigned a general to call the shots and run the war against Obama's JV team (ISIS) and today the Islamic State Iraq Syria no longer have a state in Iraq or Syria.

What's the difference between Al Qaeda and ISIS ?

Al Qaeda conducts terrorist attacks. Hit and run. Al Qaeda isn't about taking ground and holding it.

ISIS is all about taking territory and holding it.

Al Qaeda are unlawful combatants while ISIS has a real military that wears uniforms with a military structure.
ISIS when holding territory pumped oil, exported oil, collected taxes and enforced Sharia law bigley.
If you are a smoker of tobacco ISIS will chop your head off.

Saddam was good for the USA by providing stability in the region. It's not our problem that he was stealing oil from Kuwait, and not our problem to worry about the suffering of the Iraqi people who were under his fist. His torturing them and raping and murdering them was none of our business, only his business as dictator. It should not have been our problem that 43 had a grudge against Saddam. It was a huge mistake to go to war with Iraq both times. No gain, only huge cost and pain for the American people.

    MAGA.

If you're going to go to war, however, turn Stormin' Norman completely aloose and tell him to quit when he's completely killed their spirit and 99% of their military, and got all the Iraqi gold and valuables sent into the US Treasury.
