The NRA isn't defending the second amendment. They are an obvious marketing arm of the gun manufacturing industry.

More Identity Politics at play, what a joke.

Don't want to talk about the actual bill, how it could be written correctly to make sure it cannot be used to harm Americans in other ways (Like Title 9 was done with)

Yet all you/they can do is thow up sings talking about "WONT SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!!" (Simpsons reference)

This is the exact identity politics BS I am talking about. Don't discuss the issues, just throw "children" or "black" or "gay" or whateever other buzzword into the mix and stir up hatred.

You may as well just ask for the civil war now and call it a day, it will come at this rate. Hopefully sooner rather than later, the sooner it happens the moreit will just be the fringe people who get put down. If we keep up with this crap the hatred will creep more and more from the fringes to the middle and more people will be involved.

the NRA is not an arm of the gun industry although their interest coincide. The reason there is no new gun regulation is that those that vote don't want them. Its simple, you don't need any conspiracy theories to explain it.

The reason there are no new gun regulations is that too many politicians are owned by the NRA.

Defending the second amendment helps gun sales, but Liberals are still the number one sales team for the gun industry.

100% false. There are a ton of new gun regulations as well as regulations on ammo. Here in CA, certain guns with a detachable magazine and where the webbing between the thumb and forefinger in below the top of the trigger have to be registered and can never be sold or transferred. Thats means they will take them from my kids when I die. CCW permits are never even considered in LA.

    Do you support these regulations?
Do you have any real solutions you would like to discuss?

Obama left a mountain of IEDs planted at the 11th hour to undermine Trump. This was just one. It had nothing to do with the school shooter since he already had his gun. It was also unconstitutional as it denied applicants due process. We already have protections to prevent people adjudicated as mentally ill from obtaining firearms. The IED Obama dropped in December targeted people who needed someone to receive their SS and Disability checks for them. Cruz wasn't even one of them. While it wasn't supposed to go into full force until December 2017, it would have been stricken down by the courts, as over 50% of Obama dictates were.

hardly, you mean supported by republicans in congress, most people on the right or left do not support crazy people owning assault weapons

now, I do think this needs to be watched closely if enacted as the left will try to go to far.... just as the right will try to go to far the other way

ironically in this teens state he was old enough to buy a AR-15, but not old enough to buy hand gun

now if people want change, 2018 and 2020 is the years to vote for it

    You are severely misinformed

The government can still take guns away from insane people

They just have to use due process to do it

Federal law. In rural areas, HS kids go hunting after school. I don't think AR-15s are their weapon of choice. That's probably why Federal Law says 18 for rifles and shotguns. BTW, those kids leave the rifles in their pickup trucks and don't go around shooting people.

Federal Law legalizes handguns for 21 year olds. Don't think anyone would argue against 21 for semi-automatics.

I see you aren't aware of the specifics of this.
Hint: the ACLU and NRA both opposed Obama's EO.

Nah, the NRA and the gun nuts play the gun grabbing nonsense for all it is worth to sell more guns to the rubes.

Yep. More guns in the hands of the mentally incompetant is clearly the Republican goal. Looks a bit like a bad idea after the last massacre but as Alfred E Neuman said " What, me worry"

Indeed, due process actually is even more important than saving lives, as Benito Juarez taught us; "better to die on your feet than live on your knees".

But liberals got to them early in life and filled their mind with misinformation
