Yes they are. They are every one of them driven by nothing more than political malice and gut wrenching fear that their days are numbered if they can't find a hat from which to pull a rabbit. But the voters have had enough blithering incompetence, out and out lies and the Democrats who have been screwing with them, their children are about to pay a price of unlike anything seen since 1931.

Curious if Giuliani curses the day he signed on to be a Trump whore?

"Rudy Giuliani Dealt Another Setback in Multi-Billion Dollar Legal Brawl with Smartmatic, as Judge Revives Once-Dismissed Count"
    ADAM KLASFELD
    Nov 9th, 2022

"On Wednesday, the judge agreed to revive one of the counts that Giuliani had successfully dismissed. That count alleged that Giuliani defamed the company by claiming that their “election technology was designed and used to fix, rig and steal elections.”

“Since such a defamatory statement impugns the basic integrity of SUSA’s business, ‘an action for defamation lies and injury is conclusively presumed,'” Manhattan Supreme Court Justice David Cohen wrote in a seven-page ruling."

It's been rather remarkable watching Rudy's descent in to hackery. One wonders if at some point he will have a moment like some of the 1/6 rioters have when they realize they were marks for one of the great conmen of all time.

Judge orders Gingrich to testify in Georgia election probe

FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich must comply with a subpoena seeking his testimony in front of a special grand jury in Georgia investigating whether then-President Donald Trump and others illegally tried to influence that state’s 2020 election results, a Virginia judge ruled Wednesday.

Gingrich, who lives in northern Virginia, had argued that the federal law that normally requires states to honor out-of-state grand jury summonses should not apply in this case because the special grand jury lacks the power to indict. He also argued that the subpoena would be unnecessarily duplicative and burdensome because he has already agreed to testify in front of a congressional select committee investigating the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and that his testimony in both matters would essentially be the same.

At least Newt and Lindsey will have time to get their stories straight.

6 reasons why Trump’s already bad legal troubles are about to get worse

Mounting legal threats to Donald Trump may have appeared ominous before the 2022 congressional elections. They’re nothing compared to what comes next.

Some of the political protections that the former president was enjoying are effectively gone. And the firewall of Republican insulation he expected from the House and Senate appears likely to have some holes in it after an unexpectedly strong showing by Democrats in the midterms.

My advice to all those prosecutors, and Merrick, "be wild."

The 6 Sharpest Critiques From The Federal Judge Who Sanctioned Trump’s Attorneys

Here are a few of the spiciest excerpts from the blistering ruling:

    • ‘The pleadings in this case contained factual allegations that were either knowingly false or made in reckless disregard for the truth.”
    • “…I find that Mr. Trump’s lawyers were warned about the lack of foundation for their factual contentions, turned a blind eye towards information in their possession, and misrepresented the Danchenko Indictment they claim as their primary support.”
    • “Every claim was frivolous, most barred by settled, well-established existing law,” he wrote. “These were political grievances masquerading as legal claims. This cannot be attributed to incompetent lawyering. It was a deliberate use of the judicial system to pursue a political agenda.”
    • “Plaintiff deliberately misrepresented public documents by selectively using some portions while omitting other information including findings and conclusions that contradicted his narrative. This occurred with the Dachenko Indictment, the Department of Justice Inspector General’s Report for Operation Hurricane, and the Mueller Report. It was too frequent to be accidental.”
    • “The failings of the original Complaint were basic and obvious.”
    • “[T]he courts are not intended for performative litigation for purposes of fundraising and political statements. It is harmful to the rule of law, portrays judges as partisans, and diverts resources that should be directed to real harms and legitimate legal claims.”

After four years of criming, scheming, plotting and conspiring, it seems like we’ll never get to the bottom of everything that went down during the Trump presidency. But damn this is a good one!

Over the summer the New York Times reported that James Comey and Andrew McCabe, at one time the No. 1 and 2 at the FBI, were subjected to rare, highly intrusive audits by the IRS. It was fishy because the odds were very long of two highly public foes of Donald Trump each getting unusual treatment from the IRS. Now there’s more.

Former Trump Chief of Staff John Kelly tells the Times that while he was still at the White House Trump repeatedly said he wanted his political enemies to be investigated by the IRS. Among those Trump singled out, according to Kelly: Comey and McCabe.

For his part, Kelly said he thought he had talked Trump off the ledge. It involved some contentious conversations about ethics and the law blah blah blah. But Kelly seemed to think he had averted Trump acting on the worst of his vengeful instincts.
Notably, the audits of Comey and McCabe came after Kelly left the White House.

The endless accounts of corruption are still being revealed.

In a filing unsealed on Monday submitted to the special master adjudicating documents seized in the Mar-a-Lago raid, Trump claimed that the simple act of moving classified government records from the White House to his south Florida resort was enough to not only declassify the records. “President Trump was still serving his term in office when the documents at issue were packed, transported, and delivered to his residence in Palm Beach, Florida,” attorneys for Trump wrote.

They added in the filing that since Trump was President when he moved the records, that qualified as a “designation decision,” and that, therefore, the records are “presumptively personal.” It’s a repeat of what Trump and those around him have suggested since the National Archives and Records Administration referred the matter for the FBI in February: that Trump did not have to do anything apart from being himself to render records personal, or declassified.

The DOJ fired back in a separate brief also unsealed on Monday, urging the special master, U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie for the Eastern District of New York, to ignore what they described as a “shell game” from Trump.

Judge appoints independent monitor to oversee Trump Org financial reporting in NY AG fraud suit

A New York court Monday appointed retired Judge Barbara Jones to oversee some of the Trump Organization’s financial statements as part of a lawsuit alleging widespread fraud by former President Donald Trump, his businesses and his family members.

Both Trump and New York Attorney General Letitia James, who filed the sweeping fraud suit in September, had recommended Jones as their top pick to serve as independent monitor in the case.

Jones, who stepped down as a federal judge in early 2013, has been involved in multiple Trump-related legal battles in recent years. In 2018, she was appointed “special master” to identify potential attorney-client privilege claims in the slew of records seized as part of the criminal probe of Michael Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney at the time.

Last year, Jones was tapped to serve as special master to review materials seized from Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who had also been Trump’s personal lawyer.

That was one audacious grift he tried to pull off.

Trump D.C. hotel receipts reveal $10,500-a-night rooms for foreign officials seeking to influence U.S. policy

During Donald Trump’s presidency, the governments of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, China and Malaysia spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at Trump International Hotel in Washington at the same time they were trying to influence U.S. foreign policy, according to investigative findings released Monday by the House Oversight and Reform Committee.

Hotel receipts obtained by the Oversight Committee show that the then-prime minister of Malaysia and his delegation spent $259,724 at the hotel during a one-week stay in September 2017, including a $10,000 room and a $1,500 “Personal Trainer” for embattled Prime Minister Najib Razak, as well as $9,229 for “Coffee Break.” At the time, Razak was unsuccessfully lobbying the Trump administration to drop an investigation into a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund he had co-founded.

Trump Family Signs Deal With Saudi Real Estate Developer

WASHINGTON — The Trump family has struck a deal with a Saudi-based real estate company to license its name to a housing and golf complex that will be built in Oman, renewing a swirl of questions about former President Donald J. Trump’s mixing of politics and business just as he appears poised to announce a third presidential candidacy.

News of the deal, the first such international marketing agreement the Trump Organization has negotiated since Mr. Trump left the White House, emerged as the former president already faces a string of investigations into his business.

The project is slated to be built in Muscat, Oman, on a hillside adjacent to the Gulf of Oman, and will include a golf resort, villas and two hotels, a company executive said.

Former President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit Friday night to avoid cooperating with a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Trump’s lawyers argue that while “other Presidents and former Presidents have voluntarily agreed to testify or turn over documents in response to a congressional subpoena, no President or former President has ever been compelled to do so,” according to the 41-page filing.

Trump was issued a subpoena by the committee in October and was scheduled to be deposed on Nov. 14, a day before his “big announcement” on Nov. 15 at his Mar-a-Lago resort, where he is widely expected to announce the launch of his 2024 presidential campaign.

Trump attorney David A. Warrington said Trump has engaged in a “good faith effort” to resolve concerns with the committee, but that he has been left with “no choice” but to involve the judicial branch, according to a statement first obtained by Politico.

Ethics probe led to criminal referral involving Elaine Chao, Transportation Dept. inspector general says

The IG made a criminal referral to the US attorney's office with jurisdiction in the matter so a further investigation could be conducted. It declined to bring criminal charges.

It's exactly the kind of nonsensical argument we've come to expect from the King of Litigation. Not to mention Trump does not have the protection the office of the presidency affords any longer. Even then, the subpoena of Nixon for various materials was upheld by the SC while he was still in office.
This is Trump running out the clock until the Repubs take over in the House and disband the 1/6 committee.
