That is because we Never expect to have to explain terms Aussies learn in second grade And I have posted it before
No you or at least your posts show no understanding of the basic principles as witnessed by the confusion over dispersion
This is a blog I looked at the link but what I could not find was any academic references, no link except to some unsourced PDF lots of wild claims about what "they" claim but nothing even remotely like academic writing. I cannot find where this would have been published and there does not seem to be anything about the author and what his qualifications are.
Chat chat, all you do is chat chat. I do not get such items from you, so why are you of all people, complaining?
But your link had a very good critique from Roy Spencer, himself a known sceptic It was NOT science it was rubbish filled with buzz words to sucker in the gullible
It was Spencer and Christy who once bragged about how accurate and infallible their UAH dataset was only to learn a few months later that they screwed up the orbital decay adjustments. That mistake amounted to a whopping 0.10C/decade in the warming rate. Obviously they fixed the problem in a later revision, but their dataset is still considered to be the least accurate of all datasets that publish a global mean temperature. It is definitely an outlier to all of the other datasets. The irony is that it STILL shows that the Earth is warming. The double irony is that Christy just published a paper a few months ago in which he could only assign 40% of the warming to nature. And that was after he selectively removed the ENSO cycles (which by the way El Nino has a higher magnitude than La Nina by a 3-to-1 factor). So he starts with a low-balled warming rate to begin with and then removes a significant chunk of the warming off of that and he STILL could only say nature was responsible for 40% of the remaining warming.
I supply science and Bowerbird labels it trolling. She supplies her personal opinion. Ha She alleges hers is from IPCC which is a political body. Ha
Let's talk about Money. If you are a climatologist and tell the public, there is no man made global warming..... how quick will you run out of money? To collect money, you must tell us how much you believe it is all our fault. Then you grow wealthy. More than that, are Banks insane? They make loans on property with improvements. Do you think your bank would give you cash for a building in Florida if they realize it will be underwater in a matter of a few years? Bankers in England would not loan in improved property in London. They would be nuts if they believed in man caused global warming to loan you money, knowing you are doomed. Let's make some sense. They tell you to follow the money. I don't get paid so I can speak the truth. Trump has expensive holdings next to the ocean in Florida. Think he does not care about his own property? I apologize to viewers who can't tolerate cussing since this man has a filthy mouth. If you hate this, do not watch the video.
Judith Curry has been getting funding from the oil industry for more than a decade. And it doesn't appear like this source of funding for her is going to dry up anytime soon.
No you did not supply "science" The IPCC is an international body. Feel free to critique the findings and point out exactly where they are in error You keep resorting to you tube videos showing cartoons NOT Science Where are the published peer reviewed papers!
Oh, of course you actually mean she has ownership of a hurricane warning firm and oil firms find it so useful they get updates on hurricanes from her firm. Sure that is true. She provides a service. She was very prominent at the university as an important climatologist. This part seems to not want to be reported by the Alarmist community.
Today I bring to your attention this information. Now do not expect all of it to come from Curry, she collects research and heads it to us all. She does a great service showing reports from a great number of researchers. https://judithcurry.com/2018/05/19/week-in-review-science-edition-81/#more-24109 Week in review – science edition Posted on May 19, 2018 by curryja | 110 Comments by Judith Curry A few things that caught my eye this past week My interview last week on the Tucker Carlson Show [link] Coherent Circulation Changes in the Deep North Atlantic from 16°N and 26°N Transport Arrays [link] Teleconnection between the climates of the Polar Regions during the last ice age [link] … “El Niño events can intensify summer surface melting over West Antarctic ice shelves, especially Pine Island and Thwaites Glaciers.” [link] … Challenges and opportunities for improved understanding of regional climate dynamics [link]
Why ignore her accomplished career at Georgia Tech? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Curry Judith A. Curry is an American climatologist and former chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research interests include hurricanes, remote sensing, atmospheric modeling, polar climates, air-sea interactions, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for atmospheric research. She is a member of the National Research Council's Climate Research Committee.[1] As of 2017, she has retired from academia.[2][3] Curry is the co-author of Thermodynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans (1999), and co-editor of Encyclopedia of Atmospheric Sciences (2002), as well as over 140 scientific papers. Among her awards is the Henry G. Houghton Research Award from the American Meteorological Society in 1992. Regarding climate change, she thinks that the IPCC reports typically neglect what she calls the "Uncertainty Monster"[4] in projecting future climate trends, which she calls a "wicked problem."[5] Curry also hosts a popular science blog in which she writes on topics related to climate science and the science-policy interface.[6] Curry was a Professor and former Chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology; she held the latter position from 2002 to 2013.[8] Curry serves on NASA Advisory Council Earth Science Subcommittee whose mission is to provide advice and recommendations to NASA on issues of program priorities and policy. She is a recent member of the NOAA Climate Working Group[8][9] and a former member of the National Academies Space Studies Board and Climate Research Group.[8][10] Curry is a former professor of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Colorado-Boulder and has held faculty positions at Penn State University, Purdue, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.[8][10] Curry has been active in researching possible connections between hurricane intensity and global warming.[11][12] Her research group has also done research linking the size of hurricanes and resulting damage that showed that, among other things, the size of the hurricanes was an important factor in determining the number of tornadoes spawned by the system.[13] Curry is the co-author of Thermodynamics of Atmospheres and Oceans (1999),[14] and co-editor of Encyclopedia of Atmospheric Sciences (2002).[15] Curry has published over 130 scientific peer reviewed papers.[16] Among her awards is the Henry G. Houghton Research Award from the American Meteorological Society in 1992.[16] Judith Curry has argued that climatologists should be more accommodating of those skeptical of the scientific consensus on climate change.[17] Curry has stated she is troubled by what she calls the "tribal nature" of parts of the climate-science community, and what she sees as stonewalling over the release of data and its analysis for independent review.[17] In February 2010 Curry published an essay called "On the Credibility of Climate Change, Towards Rebuilding Trust" on Watts Up With That? and other blogs.[18] Writing in The New York Times, Andrew Revkin calls the essay a message to young scientists who may have been disheartened by the November 2009 climate change controversy known as "Climategate".[17]
I have posted a good many videos. One used what you call cartoons. Well the best you do is whine that i show videos. And your come backs are memes.
You have to be making money off this climate scam. No person not paid goes to your extremes. I present science. And you call science a bad name.
