[h=1]Bush’s Top CIA Briefer Just Admitted The Truth About The Iraq War, It Was Based On Lies[/h] April 17th, 2016 [IMG] Brittany Cassell Politics[IMG]

President George W. Bush’s former CIA Deputy Director sat down with MSNBC’s Chris Matthews to discuss the invasion of Iraq and the implications of that decision for the American public.

Top CIA briefer, Mike Morell, was on Hardball with Chris Matthews where he revealed the truth about the United States’ invasion of Iraq.

Morell admitted to Matthews that both President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney actually lied about Iraq’s possession of nuclear weapons.

Not even one minute into the clip and Morell already admits this:
‘The intelligence community, was telling the president of the United States that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.’
Matthews played a clip of Cheney issuing the following statement:
‘We know he [Saddam Hussein] has been absolutely devoted to trying to acquire nuclear weapons. And, we believe he has, in fact, reconstituted nuclear weapons.’
Matthews did a brilliant job of sticking to the task at hand and pressing for the truth. He wasn’t going to let Morell take the easy way out, and ultimately, he was victorious. Matthews was able to trap Morell and force him to admit that Bush and Cheney did in fact mislead the public.

Matthews then proceeded to question Morell:

    Matthews: Was that true?
    Morell: We were saying….
Matthews: Can you answer that question? Was that true?
    Morell: That’s not true.
Matthews: Well, why’d you let them get away with it?
    Morell: Look, my job Chris…
Matthews: You’re the briefer for the President on intelligence, you’re the top person to go in and tell him what’s going on. You see Cheney make this charge he’s got a nuclear bomb and then they make subsequent charges he knew how to deliver it… and nobody raised their hand and said, “No, that’s not what we told him.”
Morell: Chris, Chris, Chris, what’s my job, right? My job…
    Matthews: To tell the truth.
Morell: My job — no, as the briefer? As the briefer?
    Matthews: Okay, go ahead.
Morell: As the briefer, my job is to carry the CIA’s best information and best analysis to the President of the United States and make sure he understands it. My job is not to watch what they’re saying on TV.
Morell’s coming forth and speaking to the media gives him a chance to tell the American people his side of the story. All these years Bush and Cheney have claimed they were merely doing what intelligence had advised them to do, and that they weren’t the ones solely responsible for the United States invasion of Iraq, and thus, initiating the war.
But Morell’s interview with Matthews tells a completely different story, one that both Bush and Cheney are likely wishing he never shared with the public.

    Matthews clarified with Morell, saying:

‘They gave a false presentation of what you said to them.’

    Morell responded:
‘On some aspects. On some aspects.’

So there you have it, straight from the mouth of a former CIA Deputy Director. Despite Bush and Cheney claiming all these years that they were misled by their informants, as it turns out, they used the intelligence they had been provided with to mislead the public.
Matthews summed things up fairly well with this statement:

‘You’re telling them one thing, and they tell the country what sells their war.’

Yea, that did it because they want control over the Middle East. I'm sure there's a billion reasons Israel & America justified it to themselves.
