    Yes.

Are you denying Floyd resisted arrest???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Floyd was not choked to death he died from coronary/pulmonary failure.

Thank you for your surrender and admitting I was right all along. This is completely different, this officer acted completely correctly and you know it. Or should the police just let everyone go if they resist arrest? This cop is a hero and they should give him a medal.

Of course Chauvin's supervisor is a coward who threw his colleague under the bus to save his own career, isn't that obvious to everyone?

Come on, just admit you were wrong, just admit everything is the fault of African Americans for their wanton violence and hypocrisy and it is they who have to change, not the police.

If this thread goes on for much longer, we will learn that the USA is a paradise for all black persons and that slavery never existed in the USA.

This thread is about Patrick Lyoya, not George Floyd.

Let's try to stay on topic.

Or, people will stop responding to nonsense not related to the specifics of this case.

At one point he did, and so that's where the cops are allowed to use appropriate measurements.
At some point Floyd was laid down, handcuffed with his face against the pavement, and the supervisor of Chauvin gave that the label "murder".

I do not care what your opinion is about this as a fakebook expert. The supervisor of Chauvin called it murder. The coroner called it a homicide. Chauvin was convicted on the opinions from these experts, no doubt.

His supervisor called it murder. I dunno how you think an American supervisor is going to give a medal to his subordinate who committed a murder while on the job.
Maybe you got some Russian culture in you. I dunno. But that's not how things work in the US.

And they used appropriate measures and got him into the police SUV awaiting the arriving any second EMT's and he was not "laid on the ground" he started resisting again a threw himself out of the SUV and onto the ground. He was already handcuffed and yes if you are on the ground on your stomach guess where your face is going to be. Floyd was where he was due to his OWN actions. At the point the decision was made to stop trying to get him up and and just get him quiet and subdued on the ground for the arriving any second EMT's and that was the proper decision.

A homicide is not by default a crime go learn what homicide means and get you facts straight about what happened. Floyd died because his diseased heart and the overdose of drugs he ingested trying to hide evidence that would send him back to prison. Chauvin was convicted on the grounds that the trial had been prejudged all the way up to the former President Obama and threats to burn down America's cities if he was not convicted.

~ Sad but true. Chauvin should have been removed from all law enforcement in the USA years ago ... That is the biggest failure in the system . :frown:'

Still doesn't know the difference between what a coroner says and a judge.

~ The Judge , Jury and Coroner all came to the same conclusion. Death due to excessive force — homicide.
Two autopsy reports — one by a private medical examiner commissioned by Floyd’s family and another by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner — reached the same conclusion : Floyd died of homicide, AKA death at the hands of someone else.
The Judge found extenuating circumstances that contributed to Floyd’s death .
Chauvin was a menace to society just as Floyd was. The difference is one wore a badge

Not even close, Chauvin was a police officer who put bad guys in jail. Floyd, giant pos that he was during his entire life, did home invasions while armed and was a multiple felon.

~ Nobody expects much from the likes of Floyd. Chauvin himself was a "bad guy" who knew better — and was not very smart.'

I guess it would be a lot easier if the Floyd’s of the world had a big sign on their head with a list of all the drugs currently in their system and their current medical problems.

and didn’t fight the cops. On fentanyl.

I would mostly agree with you, in general, but it could be possible it was not a homicide in certain very specific situations. The article claims he was shot in the back of the head, yet other articles claim he was shot because he grabbed the officer's taser gun.
Unfortunately the body camera deactivated in the struggle, so we can not see exactly what happened.

    You are ill informed.
Patrick Lyoya was INDEED shot in the back of the head - as can be clearly seen on the video.

And that taser had been already used twice by that terribly incompetent police man.
So the taser was now out of service and did not work any more and was no danger anymore!

All this seems to be ignored by those here who think that the glorious US-police can do no wrong!

Yeah, Lyoya was so violent the taser didn't affect him, forcing this poor officer to have to kill him. Thank god for the glorious US police who have to put up with the incredible violence of the African American community

"glorious" sounds like a mockery in this case
