I think shill is an appropriate description. However, like most Hollywood types, I believe the guy has no core. He is just a shill for the Network who demands an ROI. The number one priority of any actor in front of the camera is to get an audience. Kimmel is required to get an audience. To do that, they must connect to an audience, and give them what they want. Kimmel's message, IMO, is simply a reflection of the audience and what they feel and believe. Very tough to sell hamburgers in India. The revelation to Kimmel's BS is that his audience is driving it. Kimmel would no doubt spit polish the President's shoes if that is what his audience wanted. Why anyone gives Kimmel a moments notice, or credit for original thought, is a curious thing. I guess gullible and impressionable are character traits among those who do give him credit for anything.
