Because of a sudden influx of unaccompanied kids fleeing conditions in S. America the Obama admin housed those kids any way they could while trying to unite them with their families. So, as usual, your post is intentionally deceptive.

Deceptive? Nobody knows how to do that better than you.
You seem to think conditions here are horrible- so why don't you flee to Central America?
The weather is fabulous, beautiful country, and lots of people who can be played like puppets for you to mess with.
You could fix their governments, then they would stay home.

LOL, not how mine came here. They had a U.S. sponsor, attended classes, and earned their citizenship! And not just from one country from two different countries, Slovenia and Italy on my mothers side and Italy on my Pops side...

Yes President Clinton signed an immigration law. I have looked at that law and there is no mention of separating children from parents.

TRUMP: "The Democrats forced that law upon our nation. I hate it. I hate to see separation of parents and children." And: "I hate the children being taken away. The Democrats have to change their law. That's their law." — remarks to reporters Friday.

THE FACTS: It's not Democrats' law. There is no law mandating the separation of children and parents at the border.

A first generation native American. Mine's been here since before the Revolution.

Why do you new arrivals allways want to shut the door after yourselves?

That is what is called a straw man. It's what people do when they can't argue on the merits. They are forced to attribute positions to people those people do not hold. Sad.

You post this in the Political Opinions and Beliefs forum yet you seem to be stating a fact. Please provide the source for your 'fact'.

But you don't know what merits are- you simply deny everything that doesn't fit your bias, so there is no way to discuss merits with someone suffering that limitation.

And I'm hardly surprised it made no sense to you! What was it, "sponsorship, education, work and naturalization"? I'm going with the last three :)

I know Right.....here is the laws Trump is following.

The officials cited four main reasons for the current system. The first, a 1997 settlement agreement that limits to 20 days how long undocumented families can be held in detention, was brokered by the Clinton Justice Department.

But the second, the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, was unanimously passed by both chambers of Congress and signed into law by President George W. Bush.

The third was a 2001 Supreme Court ruling that ended the practice of indefinite detentions for undocumented immigrants facing deportation whose home countries would not accept them.

And the fourth was generally described as the asylum laws of the U.S., a practice that goes back decades and includes international agreements dating back to the 1950s. The current asylum system in the U.S. was enshrined in the Refugee Act of 1980, which was sponsored by Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas, and approved by the GOP-controlled House and Senate.....snip~

Since you are one of them, please explain to me why it is so difficult for some to distinguish between unaccompanied children needing to be housed until a relative or other responsible person can take charge of their care and children being taken away from their parents?

    No.

You should have said something like: "So insisting that new immigrants go through. . . yada yada yada is closing the door? Harumph I say sir. Harumph!"

You left you point untethered to any context.

The solution is simple. Dramatically increase the number of judges that have the power to determine if the entry was legal or illegal. Immediately drag the illegal families (voters) before a judge. Immediately return every one if the illegals (voters) to the country they entered from.
    Alternate plan,
Bus them to the nearest Canadian border crossing. I am sure they will be welcomed with open arms.

How long would that take? Months?

Trump can end this insanity TOMORROW.

You want more judges? Fine. But stop taking kids from their families...NOW
