More accurate to say, I think, that the Left cares for the people of the US more than 'the US'. We want laws and regulations that help people. Yes, the constitution is vital, but to love it more than the people is patriotic blindness.

 

The reason so much of what Trump does gets labelled as racist, is because he had engaged in near constant race baiting sine well before he declared for President.

He kicked Orley Taiz aside and crowned himself as king of the birthers.

Even now, he's ranting and raving (with a b roll backup from his Propoganda Ministry (Fox)), about dirty Mexicans invading our country, even though the statistics say the exact opposite. But in deplorableland, TV pictures are reality and facts don't matter.

Deplorables represent the dark underbelly of American politics. They have always been around. They were "No Nothings" in the 1850's, many joined the Grange, all of them joined the KKK in the 1920's. I'm sure some of the grandparants of today's deplorables still sing the praises of Father Couglin and Joe McCarthy, or joined the John Birch Society.

Nativism, bigotry, xenophobia, anti intellectualism, are all present and accounted for on the posts of Trump supporters here on this forum every single day.

Contrary to the obviously false assertion in the OP, the resistance pays much closer attention to what the Trump administration does behind the TV camera than the talk radio right does.

Which is why that far right actually believes the us is being invaded by brown people. As everyone else knows, the statistics say the exact opposite, and the trend line is away from an imaginary invastion.

But the talk radio right lives in a cartoon reality. Show them a b roll of brown people on one TV network, over and over again, and they'll buy it. Right wingers (at least on this forum) don't read. And they never walk any of the stuff they post back. They often post articles they clearly haven't read. And they often speak strickly in nativist (and often racist) stereotypes.

Personally, I don't hate Trumpers, I resent them. I resent them for putting the country through this. For giving Vlad a victory in his fight against Western democracies. For disgracing the office of the president in every way possible. For making us an international laughing stock. For taking the already deep divisions among us and making them worse. For ushering in an unprecedented level of incompetence and corruption. For setting us back in the effort to fight climate change. For ramping up the sabotage of progress on getting people's health care insured. You folks are responsible. All the evidence this morally bankrupt, ignorant, narcissistic bigot would be a disaster was right there, and you ignored it. You shirked the essential responsibility belonging to all people living in a representative democracy. Namely, you willingly allowed yourselves to be duped.

 

After all the hatred and vitriol some posters have made, I don't believe one word from the angry lefties. They have been butthurt from minute one of the Trump presidency and they have every excuse they could manufacture to let it be known in hundreds of nothingburger comments, stories, opinions, and posts. The poster above being a prime example. If they truly loved their country they would have cut at least a few months slack and tried working with or at least offered tacit support to an incoming president. Instead, all America got was manufactured crisis after manufactured crisis. What they sadly miss is the fact they only strengthen the resolve of the opposition and create a lot of humor for so many of us here.

 

They elected scum and continue to support scum. There is only one explanation for that.

 

I am not even a Republican but since the Left's nonstop temper tantrum starting in 2016 I would now be willing to belly crawl over a bed of broken glass to vote a straight Republican ticket, period; and I'm a political independent.

There's no doubt some people react very oddly to being proven wrong. In your case you want to double down as oppose to admitting an error in judgement. That attitude goes a long way in explaining Don's continued support.

 

I feel exactly as you do. I voted for Trump because I felt he would bring back some sanity to the US court system. He has and will continue to do just that. Watching the lefties become unhinged since day one of Trumps candidacy has proven them to be the malcontents and freeloaders the RW FOX headliners have always said they were except it is now on full display for everyone to see. A brief look at the 2016 election by county or city is a graphic visual that should be studied as America sinks further into Socialism.

 

You think that there aren’t minority populations in flyover country, America’s Heartland? We have cities in our America as well. I live in one in a rural red section of Californication. I know that the antifa from the Bay Area won’t drive 200 miles to tear up our city for being the most pro Trump city in the state 63-29% with the rest going 3rd party. The surrounding county had identical numbers.

We dont hate the left, we just think they have surrendered their party and their agenda (which was often open to acceptance by conservatives. They have surrendered to the radical progressives who desire to take the US to the extreme left. The Democrats have accepted and embraced this perspective to attempt to win the Millennial vote.

The old school Democrats and conservatives actually debated and negotiated, including concessions well on many topics.

The urban elites are always tough... but only with government force. They are a bunch of pansies in person. I lived in the city for a decade, in Chicago... and I've lived in the rural areas.
