I'm not a Pirate fan, but when I was young, I absolutely loved Dave Parker. I remember the All-Star game he threw out a runner at home. He was a right fielder who had speed(for the big guy that he was), hit for average & power, & had a rocket launcher for an arm, that is a must for a RF. I'm biased, but he's on my all time team as a RF.

Congrats to Felix Hernandez for pitching the third perfect game of the year, a record one season total, versus the Rays. Is it great pitching, dubious hitting, watered down talent, less steroid use by hitters or some kind of combination of some or all of these?

She doesn't get hit very much. She's a ground fighter.

Lydia Ko, 15, became the youngest player to win an LPGA tournament when she dusted the Canadian Women's Open field.

The tennis U.S. Open starts tomorrow. Serena Williams is the U.S. only hope, I doubt an American male even makes it into the quarters.

Congrats to Serena Williams & Andy Murray, for their U.S.Open Championships.
Murray is the first male Brit in 76 years to win a Grand Slam singles championship.
