The right to smoke pot is vastly different than the right to keep and bear arms..

Yep....unless there is a national state of emergency that gives governors and the Fed the right to invoke martial law. If Covd-19 had a kill ratio like Ebola, I'd bet ya dollars to donuts you'd see how fast people would tell the local preachers to **** and let the authorities padlock the church doors until further notice.

Stop and think it through....a highly communicable virus percolates in a crowd...if you've ever sat in a Church pew on a good Sunday, you're a handshake from the next guy. Now, a few infected people sneeze or cough, they infect others, and those folk leave church to go to a bakery or a movie or play a sport or go to party, etc., etc. AND YOU LIVE IN THAT AREA. So when you finally go out, the risk of exposure is multiplied because a few jokers just HAVE to do it their way. Sorry, but I shouldn't have my health be placed in the hands of someone else's faith. All it takes is for a moment unmasked or ungloved, with a sneeze or cough in the near air space or on a door knob.

Someone on a local FB group page was complaining about church services. Someone responded with this...(many migrant and seasonal workers sometimes live here) She nails it...

Migrant workers live, work, travel and shop in crowded conditions. Their lifestyle hasn't changed much, they're still packing into busses with no social distancing, yet they're not dropping like flies, nor are the "essential" workers.
You can believe the hype and media, I choose to believe what I observe and experience.

"So when you finally go out, ..."

That's my point, when you finally go out you are taking the same risk as everyone else that goes out. You could be infected by a slaughterhouse worker, or a healthcare worker, or any number of peoples deemed essential workers and have been "going out" everyday. If you want to not take the risk, stay home. You might be the one infecting others.

Yet it happened and of course deployed by the same folk
who hate our Elected leader { Mr.Orange Man }.
May in the near furture add to a nouveau addition of the
    meaning of Hate.

Of course it could be Fate.Like what happened to many Oakies during the
Great Depression. As written to monumental effect by John Steinbeck in :

    - The Grapes of Wrath - { 1940 }
Where Farm clan { The Joad's } are left like many other farm
families.Desperate for food, work and means for survival they head out
west after seeing numerous fliers advertising jobs.So they trek out
in their overloaded Jalopy for Greener pastures in " the promised land ".
Or California.Only to find the opposite.Severly poor living conditions and
dog eat dog competition for work.Ironically California did become a
Promised land.Just listen to Al Jolson sing about.Or visit his monumental
Grave site.A lot has changed since Jolson perished.
California under Nixon and also Reagan was a jewel of beauty
and pride. The place to seek out for comfort and joy.Or to live out his days
    as in - It's a Gift - as befuddled,hen-pecked grocer Harold Bissonette
{ bee-soh-nay } whose dream became a reality on a California Orange range.
" Jolie " definitely is turning over in his grave.I bet his Grave site shivers
late at night, when a full moon is out.
Probably would please Democrats once they find out his Political
persuation.Being Jolie was a " Staunch supporter of the Republican
Party ". I wonder how many these California Democrats find pause
    in sitting on the Jolson Burial sites { One the largest in the u.S. }
    meditation bench. No I doesn't.
No meditation needed to explain California Democrats.
    That's a Fact Jack.

The problem is that the GOP caved in to the Left's anti-Christianity crusade in most of the ways that actually matter; and I am not just talking about this Corona-Virus hooplah. It has become fashionable for the Left to attack and try to destroy Christianity in this nation and for Republicans to shrug if off as 'no big deal.'

People try to destroy what they don't understand, if there was just an ideology that embraced tolerance, oh wait! I thought that was one of the lefts biggest bragging rights? Maybe it only applies to anyone and anything not American

Please post a link to the clause in the Constitution that speaks to conditioning the establishment clause on the whim of a random Democratic Governor.

Anger is an attribute of lefties. Having failed at everything they tried, their leaders can't tolerate differing opinions or even viewpoints like those articulated in religious doctrine. It has nothing to do with being secular, but everything to do with being wrong. Wrong when they worshiped the Soviet Union, wrong when they worshiped Fidel Castro, wrong when they knelt to Hugo Chavez, wrong when they claimed in 2000 that in 20 years, we would look back and regret what we missed out on by not extending PNTR to China. Here we are 20 years later, having outsourced manufacturing, having celebrated the medical device tax that outsourced PPE and ventilator manufacture to China, having beaten pharmaceuticals to outsource production to China, and having been on the receiving end of the China virus, lefties have alot to cover up ,,, the driver for their authoritarian tendencies.

If it wasn't bad enough that lefties funded the Wuhan Institute of virology starting in 2015 or earlier, our most popular lefty, Fauci, sold out the US by handing China a COVID vaccine we were developing to mass produce.

We love our lefties. If only they could come up with a new game, they would at least be as entertaining as they are predictable.

There is none, but a governor may after a declared emergency just like the power given to a president in a state of emergency declaration. What makes you think there are no contingency plans made from the past 225 years dealing with emergency situations?
