LOL Weren't we told by ecstatic Putinoids on this very forum that that was the deal of the century, that Putin outmaneuvered the entire world, that the friendship between Russia and China is eternal, that the Chinaman would come and rescue Russia from the evil West... Fast forward one year and surprise, surprise, the deal Putin signed sucked, it had no protection against lower prices and is unprofitable for Russia, with current prices Russia would actually be losing money. The final signing of the contract is indefinitely postponed and the negotiations have pretty much ended. Who knew? LOL Question to my Russian friends. Who is this grandmaster in the picture below who played chess for the second time in his life and lost all his games? Grandmaster Bender....or grandmaster Putin? LOL
The depressed oil prices are causing a world-wide economic slowdown which is throwing government budgets into disarray, causing massive job losses and putting major operations into mothballs. But on the whole I'd say it's all worth it if it causes Putin to squirm.
