The Myth of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally as a “Super Spreader” Event (PODCAST) | Sharyl Attkisson

This is a podcast mods, so if it needs to be moved to appropriate section I'm sure you will.

Sharyl did a good job using the luxury of hindsight to analyze the media response to last year's Sturgis rally. This is an analysis of media propaganda techniques during the beginning of the Covid fiasco as much as anything else.

It shows how the public perception is manipulated, especially by way of fear and inaccurate claims.

This demonstrates why Sharyl is so good in her analysis of current events.

I watched it on TV, but this is in podcast form.

    Thoughts and comments are welcome.

    Thoughts?

Well Sturgis was held in the last week of August, 2020 ... And guess what, that was the start of the South Dakota Covid boom.
    So there's that...

Ah Daniel, you're so consistent in your fealty to Fauci & Friends & Fear! Two attaboys for you, and maybe a letter of commendation from St. Anthony to hang on your wall.

In typical fashion, you didn't even bother to view the presentation by Sharyl.

That makes you a dishonest poster, but I already knew that.

So I guess your claim of "thoughts and comments are welcome ..." was bullshit.

No, it was welcome, but it was just typically irrelevant.

It was hardly "irrelevant" as it showed the reported numbers of Covid cases in South Dakota prior to
Sturgis and after Sturgis ... I made no claims beyond that.

It's easy for a someone to make statements on a podcast but they're meaningless without the details of the data behind those statements. The problem is that claims (either way) sell better than facts because facts (in this kind of context at least) are usually confusingly mixed, nuanced and bland.

It sounds like you too refused to view Sharyl's presentation. You judged a book by its cover, without reading it.

That's what happens when the book contains truths too inconvenient to ponder. Denial by another name is still denial.

In fact, Sharyl provided rational analysis based on facts, all with the luxury of hindsight. You avoid rational analysis of the great Fauci Propaganda Machine.

    Plandemic is the word.

I didn't judge anything, I made general comments about making statements. It doesn't matter what the topic is, you can't prove anything with audio alone and can't easily present meaningful references either. You can express valid opinions and conclusions in audio if you have decent references to back that up. It is the latter I was talking about here.

Here's a YouTube video on the subject, which may make it easier to digest the story than from a podcast.

I haven't ridden since Hunter Thompson committed suicide. It depresses me.

It's the same thing with Burning Man. All the Great Festivals are just ways to die nowadays and I'm moving on from all of them.

    Thank you sir.

    Apologies for my poor presentation.

My bad, Honest Joe. I had assumed the podcast included video, but I've never participated in a podcast. Ignorance on my part. I hope you will take the time to view the video.

let's be honest here, a video was presented with a town father being interviewed who cited facts about hospital cases of Covid 19.

It would seem to the casual observer that since the facts do not support your assertion and narrative which parrots the Democrat party, that silence is the path chosen rather than admit that the Democrat narrative is in error

Super Spreader Events were yet another concoction of Fauci & Friends. Another scary term to inflame emotions and fears.

We have the best propagandists on earth.

Thanks again to Sharyl for providing perspective.
