Milllions may ignore what's on the MSM and cable news channels but they certainly pay attention to the headlines on the tabloids at the market checkout counter. Now the bring us the story that's openly understood in Washington, Hillary's sexual preference. This isn't something that many of us worry about these days, many openly gay people serve in office across the country. The only downside would be it feeding into Hillary's lack of honesty due to the perception of her having a 40 year sham marriage to Bill. I actually don't think it's a sham - I think the concept of "marriage" should be open to all sorts of mutually supporting arrangements. In Bill and Hillary's case, I think we are talking some bi-sexuality, open-marriage and mutual respect and support. In am shocked that all of the major TV networks, and other media outlets, haven't gone into 9/11-style coverage of this epic breaking news.
And why not! This is where Sarah Palin got her news from. I suspect that most of her fans and quite a few Trumpster do too. When you see the almost juvenile level of discussion coming from the far right here, it's hard to to draw that conclusion. I do see that the more things change the more they stay the same. The Inquirer is still trafficing in Elvis and Marilyn Monroe stories. And the radical right is still trafficing in Vince Foster conspiracy theories!
When I am waiting in the checkout line at the grocery store and feeling bored or frustrated, I check out the front page of the National Enquirer for a good laugh. That rag should be listed under humor, not news. And, there has been constant talk about people who can not be trusted, and somebody trusts the National Enquirer - amazing!
Very true. The story won't change one vote. The ARNJ lunatic fringe (already voting Trump) takes the Enquirer as gospel. People with an IQ over 90 (already voting Hillary) don't take the Enquirer seriously.
For the most part, who gives a royal fork. And it's about time a RWer uses a reliable news source for a story. At least compared to normal sources they link to.
