It should be quite entertaining. I'm gonna stick with my preseason pick of Miami over Oklahoma City in the Finals, but I wouldn't be surprised if San Antonio and/or Chicago end up in the Finals. In fact, I'm thisclose to picking a Bulls/Spurs Finals match up.
    My 1st round picks:
    Bulls over Sixers
    Heat over Knicks
Magic over Pacers(you saw it here first)
    Celtics over Hawks
    Spurs over Jazz
    Thunder over Mavs
    Lakers over Nuggets
    Clippers over Grizzlies
Potential upsets, or things that wouldn't shock me: Celtics over Bulls in the 2nd round;Knicks giving the Heat all kinds of heck, as well as Nuggs to the Lakers, the Grizz to anybody; And I think the Thunder have a very tough road ahead of them - can win or lose against anybody they face, IMO.
    It should be fun!

LOL - I've been so lost in the Stanley Cup playoffs I forgot the NBA was getting theirs underway.

I think this is the Heat's year - LeBron's finally going to get his ring...

    GO SPURS GO!!!!

Spurs have quietly built themselves a solid team. The Big 3, (Duncan, Parker & Ginobili) are all going into the playoffs healthy and well rested. They have guys that can score all over the floor. My only worry is playing against a team with solid bis, such as the Lakers & Memphis. But Pop has FINALLY decided to start Tiago Splitter with Tim Duncan to try to match up against the bigger teams. That lineup change worked awesomely against the Lakers the last two games.

But I am definately looking forward to these playoffs since my Penguins got knocked out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs by the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing evil Flyers!! GRRRRRR!!!!

    GO SPURS GO!!!!

I got caught up with watching my Bruins in the playoffs, and like you I forgot all about the NBA playoffs. Got some interesting young talent on my Celtics team, but I think their 3 veteran stars are getting a bit long in the tooth if you know what I mean. If they can get O'Neil and Ray Allen back off of the injured list then they may make some noise. I'm pretty sure the Celtics swept the season series against Miami this year, so the Celtics could surprise some people. It does look like that okie from mskokie team is just powerful enough to take it all. Btw, do you know anyone that lives in oklahoma, or exactly where that state is located, and can you name one player on that team?

As a Laker fan, I really, really dislike the Spurs, but I give their organization all the credit in the world. Year after year, they put a winning product on the court, with few exceptions. It's strange to say this, but as a basketball fan, I'll be pretty disappointed if they don't at least make it to the conference finals. I would love to see a Laker/Spurs Western Conference Final, with my Lakers winning of course! Although I think the Spurs would be somewhat of a big favorite in that series, if it were to happen. Here's hoping that it happens!

Oh no - D.Rose gets hurt (possibly knee) near end of first game against Philly! Hopefully it's not serious.

Having grown up in Chicago, I am only a fan of 2 Chicago teams really(I don't care about baseball or hockey), the Bears and the Bulls. In the same season, both the Bears AND the Bulls have had their seasons ruined by injury. The Bears were 7-3 when Cutler and Forte got hurt, and the Bulls were joint favorites to make the NBA finals(though realistically I still think Miami would have beaten us, but at least we had a chance with Rose), and injuries sent both seasons down the toilet!! It is really (*)(*)(*)(*)ty!!

I feel your pain. In the 80's & early 90's, the Lakers had a couple of key injuries that derailed their chance to win championships. I hate to see that happen to anybody, but the pain gets magnified when a chance to win a title goes out the window, along with the significant injury.

I didn't even watch this year with the shortened season. I wasn't even sure who's in the playoffs until I opened this thread. Although I did watch Orlando and Indiana last night and part of OKC and Dallas. Just give Lebron a ring this year and be done with it.

NBA Championship rings aren't given...They're earned.
Having said that, if LBJ is to win a ring, the door is wide open for the Heat to do it this year.

Rose is OUT, so I'm back to being a spectator ... although I"m sure the Bulls can get past the 76'ers without Rose.

They won 27 Games without him and beat most of the Top Team without him.

    Maybe next year ...

I think I'll Root for Oklahoma and The Lakers.

Wow, Memphis really screwed the pooch on that one last night! LOLOL

27 point lead only to lose the game! WOW!

Spurs had too many turnovers and bad inside play from our bigs the first half but still found a way to cover the spread. 11 point favorites on Wednesday. They will win that game by 20 or more IMO.

Jazz & Nuggets will be lucky to win a single game in their series IMHO.

LOL - I can name several players on the Thunder, and something tells me you'll be able to do so after these playoffs. They're probably the best young team in the league...

I somewhat agree. Best YOUNG team, perhaps. Best OVERALL team................no. If you look back at their record against playoff teams, it is not that spectacular. I do think they can beat the Lakers though. Cause other then the Lakers starting 5, they have NO depth. OKC can actually bring in guys from their bench to make contributions.

I still expect to see Chicago in the Eastern Conference Finals. They have more than enough to beat the Sixers & either an injured, worn out Celtic team or the Jekyll 'n Hyde Hawks. After that though, I think the party ends. Although, I think they can give Miami a fight. The Bulls will have the home court advantage.

Yea ... but Chris Paul had the same injury, hopefully Rose will come back stronger.

I am loving the Mavs vs OKC series so far! Exciting close games that come down to the wire. I wouldn't be shocked if this series goes to 7 games. I believe if Dallas would have been able to keep Tyson Chandler on their team, they would be able to knock out OKC.

Lets hope the Nuggets vs Lakers game doesn't suck ass tonight. LOL

    Bump.

Celtics take 3 - 2 lead over Miami Heat...as does OKC over the Spurs.

It's looking more and more like LeBron James can't win under pressure.

If indeed the Celtics take the Heat and advance...look for OKC to run them all over the court.

I pick the Thunder in 6 games to win it all.
