Why so many Lebron James fanboys in here.

He kicked Cleveland fans in the teeth..(metaphorically speaking)...and then made a horse's patoot out of himself with the 30 minute sports show and what his decision would be regarding free agency.

I don't really see any fanboys...

Maybe fans of the guy, but, that don't necessarily make you a fanboy...

Also, he didn't come up with the idea to do "The Decision..."

Plus, the money from it went to charity...

    What's so bad about that?

You know who really kicked Cleveland fans in the teeth?

Dan Gilbert, since he decided to place all the weight on LBJ's back and never give him any backup while in Cleveland, thus driving away their only hope for a title...

With relatives in Cleveland and throughout Ohio...I am no fan of Lebron James.

Regardless of my personal bias towards James leaving Ohio...you know he's from there.

With Tinker, Altus and Vance Air Force bases in Oklahoma...having spent time there.
I am rooting for Oklahoma City.

    Miami?

Not many real Floridians live in Miami..it's the East Coast's version of Los Angeles...
    Transplants and snow birds.

Folks jumping on the Lebron bandwagon because it's popular to do so.

Oh I'm not denying the existence of the bandwagoners...

    They're there, no doubt...

But, I've wanted to see James get a ring since his Cleveland...

    He deserves it...

He's a guy that goes out and leaves it all on the court virtually every night...

And, for the record, I'm a Hornets fan...

Have been since I paid attention to pro ball, which is about 90 or so, which is also about as long as the Hornets have existed...

TBH, I would be perfectly OK if either Lebron or Durant got their ring...

They both deserve it, being the two best players in the league...

After last nights game, James played well but Wade is the disappointment. Unless he steps up in this series, it's not going to be pretty.
Can't put the loss on Lebron's shoulders this time.

    There ya go man...

That's been my angle for the whole playoffs...

James has had great games since the playoffs started, Wade, not so much...

And the role players went to sleep after the half...

If somebody other than James doesn't show up & play for 48 minutes a night, the Heat can forget about it...

I loathe to comment too much on the game, 'cause I work evenings & only saw the highlights, but it seems to me that it's like LBJ is back in Cleveland, where he's the one-man-gang again. Is Wade washed up, injured more than we know or is he just in a funk (an ego thing with LBJ?)? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt & say he may be more injured than we know & if that's the case, the Heat can pretty much forget about it, they ain't winning this series.

See, my problem with the idea of an injury is that Wade tends to turn it up, to an extent, in the second half...

With an injury, you'd figure his performance would lessen...

I'm not discounting a Thunder comeback, but I expect the Heat to close out the series on Thursday, in 5 games. An OKC victory, though, could really throw this series up in the air.

    The Heat, brought the Heat.

Difficult to label it an upset, but I don't see the Thunder winning 3 straight.

I think the series is done n' dusted and Lebron will get his first ring; proving to be a dominant NBA player
who no longer chokes under pressure. The whole team has stepped up, and I look for both teams to be around for awhile as ccotenders for future championships.

He had no obligation to stay in Cleveland. I'm sick of people saying that. Go to Miami... play on a better team, get to live in one of the coolest places in America or stay in Cleveland... live in the sh!t state of Ohio, and play on a worse team.

Not that you asked me & this dead horse has been beaten so many times already but here goes...
Just speaking for myself, but I know many other fans feel the same way, it wasn't THAT he left Cleveland, it was HOW he did it. I don't blame him for going to Miami, that is what free agency is all about, play where you want. But the "Decision", the TV show & all the BS, was an additional slap in the face to the FANS in Cleveland, totally unnecessary. The "Decision TV show was for charity" BS just didn't cut it. Have a press conference, say your leaving for Miami, thank the Cav fans & be done with it. The Cav fans will still hate you, but oh well they'll just have to get over it.
I am not anybody, but I have forgiven him. It's all over with & I think he may have realized that he made a mistake in how he handled it. I actually picked & rooted for the Heat, maybe 'cause I'm a Laker fan & my new hated team is OKC. But if I was a Cav fan, I'm not so sure I'd be that quick to offer forgiveness. My official 2 cents given.

    sh*t State of Ohio?

Have you ever been to Florida?

    It's a zoo...particularly the traffic in S. Florida.

Anyway, that aside, yes the weather is far better....(hurricanes aside)

It's not the fact Lebron left Cleveland..it's how he left.

A few fans hold some resentment, however I place sports in it's proper perspective. It is ultimately entertainment, and Lebron is an entertainer as are all professional athletes.

It's not that big a deal, same when Albert Pujols left St. Louis...

    Oh well.

Have a nice life Albert...don't let the door hit ya in the ass.

Totally unnecessary to anyone who takes the sport too seriously. Totally a non-issue to anyone who doesn't, especially since the television event was only held to direct profit to charity. That city should've been thanking him for putting them on a platform that everyone knew was impossible without his single effort, as well as revenue. Irrational fans get no sympathy...

Just like anything else in life, people can't be told how to feel or what to think. If Cav fans or MANY other fans think LBJ is an (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*), then that's their opinion, just like you have yours. As a Laker fan, I've been listening to what people think about Kobe for years. If you don't like what people think of your favorite player, oh well, too bad, deal with it!

While I think Lebron is a pompous ass, as was said on ESPN earlier not 2 not 3 not 4 not 5 not 6 is now not a laughing matter its a threat, I have no idea if Lebron and company can keep this pace up for 6 more years, but one has to wonder who is gonna stop them? I wish Lebron was as lovable as MJ, but I guess in the next few weeks we will find out who he really is, a gloating winner or a gracious winner, hoping for the second. Cheers Miama, While I still have no love for you, maybe the finals will be as exciting as when MJ played.

I am not that wrapped up in sports and for the most part I do not care, but I like star players to be humble and not self righteous asses. Hopefully Lebron will become a legend and not a mar on the face of the NBA. I actually could care less about B-Ball but my son now plays it and I find myself drawn to it more than ever. Go Lebron, become a star, a legend, a role model, may you make it to you destiny, America is about those who have the potential becoming stars and making it, show us what you really have!!!!!!!!!!

Sports being what they are, anything can happen; Injuries, egos imploding the team, age, free agency signings by other teams, bad luck, etc., but it looks like the Heat will be hovering around the NBA Finals for a few years to come. One thing though, it takes a certain mental level to win a championship, but an even higher level of mental toughness to repeat as a champion. The Heat do have a lot going for them. I think they can get even better as a team; role players fitting into their roles more & even other free agents wanting to play with LBJ & co.. Potential road blocks are the Bulls, Thunder & possibly D. Howard getting more to work with(somewhere else, if not Orlando). We'll see, it should be interesting to see if LBJ really does turn into the next MJ, or something similar.

I'm mad that the arrogant Miami fans (at least the ones on Yahoo, especially those) and their arrogant stars got their way, glad that at least my team lost to the winner and not the runner up. The latter hardly justifies the earlier though. I still feel we gave them the best scare in Game 3. They might of got us back for it, but we still got shut Miami's stars down and rout them, and after Wade talked smack to.

Now, if we can just get a star in the off-season, I think the Pacers are a season or two away from our own NBA title. We might of gotten lucky on a few instances, but doesn't everybody? I'm confident we'll be an even stronger team next year. I think we've made leaps and bounds since our return to the playoffs last year/ 2011. I can actually watch my Pacers again.. ironically as soon as my Colts started getting unbearable to watch. I mean, I still watch them, being a good fan and all, but there's still so much a fan can take. (like us nearly going winless, for an example)

Oh, and Miami, don't get pig-headed. Your last trophy came in '06. That's a little more than five years ago. You need one to three more trophies in the next few seasons to be considered a dynasty. (I think it's three within five years, actually, but four with seven to ten sounds more like it.)

Hopefully your Pacers can; A)Keep Roy Hibbert under contract & B)He continues to improve & become a real force in the NBA. If all goes well, the Pacers can become a top tier team.

Yeah, it just sucks that we had trade a perfectly good Colts team (Ok, not really lol.) to have a decent Pacers team. I'm kind of glad we got rid of Manning though. We're spending too much on the man to see we were losing talent just to keep him.
