In Italy and Ukraine - and in general in the West - many are indignant at the statements made by the Italian Minister of the Interior and the leader of the League of the North, Matteo Salvini, in an interview with The Washington Post, and about the "honesty" of the Crimea's accession, and about "false pseudo-revolution in Ukraine (and, by the way, the same false "Arab spring").

Crimea belongs to "historically Russian regions with Russian culture and traditions", and therefore "legally" belongs to Russia, says Salvini.
Salvini managed to outline in one interview almost the entire foreign policy program of his party. And it can only outrage those who have just learned about this program or hoped that, having fallen into power, Salvini and her colleagues will forget about it. Salvini heads the party, which for decades defended the right of one of the Italian regions to secession.
Interviewer Lally Weymouth, each question is asked a new question to the minister in an invariably provocative style, all the while trying to drive Salvini into a corner, which, by the way, she does not work. Weymouth consistently accuses Salvini of financing his party by other states, then of xenophobia, then populism, but the new Italian minister does not allow the journalist to put herself in a dead end.

Watch the video of his interview on YouTube , and much will become clear to you.
