sounds like you haven't a clue about this topic to be honest. You just want to pass laws without having any idea what they would do.

    True.
    But one keeps trying.
In order to infiltrate and break criminal gangs of any kind, it is vital to have a strong and integrated spécial forces who infiltrate and gather information in order to arrest and prosecute those criminals.
But first you need the laws in place to prosecute against.
ISTM that the whole policing model in the US is broken as it is splintered into state controlled units. And from some posts here, too much potential for corruption.
Which is easy to fall into. The Metropolitan Police, the force on London, has had to deal with many issues of corruption and incompetence recently. The head of the force has now resigned and there will be (another) review. It is easy to lose the professionalism constantly necessary but it is so important.

While IMO this is true, it is no excuse not to constantly improve state provision of protection.
Why can people rely on state protection everywhere else? I mean that as a genuine question. Orher places seem to have established à positive relationship between the state security systems and the people.
What do you think needs to be done in the US to do the same?

Ukraine is an example. If you are Ukranian, and live in an area occupied by the Russians, you have no security. The Russian military may provide a level of security for you, but they definitely don't consider you a priority.

In the above situation, the town hooligan may no longer be as inhibited. People might see an opportunity to settle old scores. Communities can still provide security in these situations, IF they haven't been disarmed. But they can't raise a militia to provide it, or even resist a foreign occupier, if no one in the community has an AR15.

Consolidation of all security increases the chances you will live under corruption. If my local police are corrupt, I got 50k other communities to move to and try. If the feds are, I'm screwed.

Our police forces are more numerous than yours. They are trained more than yours, to include the Uvalde **** ups being trained on that exact situation IN THAT EXACT SCHOOL a few months prior, and they are better armed than most militaries on the planet. They have robust undercover programs.

We have laws to prosecute against.
Federalism is a thing in the US. What you suggest would require the complete destruction of that. That is such a non-starter I'm not really sure where to begin explaining it.

They think the MET is free of corruption. THE MET who has been involved in a series of scandals for not reporting violent crimes they don't clear.

You have far more chance of finding corruption if the system works on an integrated basis.

You should write books with imaginary plots.
You can construct any fantastic plot you wish in an attempt to provideca whatif.

Not a shred of evidence unless you have an interview of a gun claiming that it wanted to kill someone.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I know there are 18-year-olds that have used guns to kill innocent ones recently and we need to know why these things had happened.

    Good points.

I’m a fan of pattern recognition. There are patterns we see on PF, especially with foreigners making claims about the superiority of their society. The pattern plays out as about 85% of the time their claims are deflection from very serious problems at home. They attack others to make themselves feel better about their problems.

As evidence for my point here consider these interesting bits about French policing that is being deified here in this thread.

    https://amp.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/feb/13/french-police-violence-gilets-jaunes-victims

And corruption has been going on all along—as well as shootings with assault rifles—GASP! From 2012:

    https://amp.france24.com/en/2012100...-squad-charged-corruption-extortion-suspended

    And in 2020.

    https://amp.rfi.fr/en/france/202007...t-by-officers-france-csi-93-seine-saint-denis

So in 2020, France was having violent protests against cop brutality, racism and corruption, but today on PF we are told how great French policing is compared to the US?

Don’t let these either grossly ignorant or disingenuous foreign actors influence you with their misinformation. Watch for the pattern. Check their claims against reality. :)

Not rocket science, and it's been fixed many times, in many places.

    The only requirement is sanity.

So you have an interview of a gun? Pointless post.

Here is something you should take interest in.

There should be more signs that guns are not allowed in many more places. Not just here, but everywhere else.

By definition one cannot be allowed to escape. If you are allowed you simply leave, you are not escaping. An escaped person is a criminal or illegal person of some kind
The real question here is how an illegal person got an AR-15

Next mass murderer will be taking drugs for a mental condition, which is from being raised in a single parent home, and the FBI will have been aware of him.

Do you believe every person whose spouse dies should lose their children or what?

The next mass murderer will be armed with one or more semiautomatic devices, which will be illegal for them to possess.
