Cam Newton led an offense that isnt really that spectacular on paper, honestly without their top receiver Kelvin Benjamin the whole season it looked pretty bleak for them because in reality they dont have anyone else close to that ability. Jonathan Stewart , their starting RB, didnt do dick until late in the season. Which leads me to the defense that just killed the opposition, giving Cam the ability to do what he did and other players to come out of the word work and show out.

But yeat, just a scripted stunt ;P .

No they wouldn't go to prison. NFL is considered sports entertainment just like wrestling which means they can fix there games and not get in trouble

 

You might need a tin foil hat to keep them from reading your mind, if you believe this. The schedule is on a set rotation, with only a few of the games decided by the prior year's record. Each team plays a rotation of two other divisions, aside from their own. The schedule is not made all willy nilly, guy.

I would also add that, ALL professional sports are sports entertainment. They are factually selling a product. But, that doesn't mean the participants are members of the acting guild, like they are in wrestling. How on earth would the teams "practice" the scripted plays, exactly?

It's also not a "scam". People like it, and they watch it, usually for free. Nobody forces them to watch.

Joke aside. I honestly don't get what your problem is. I do not follow NFL, but I do watch a lot of soccer and I just hate when non-fans make remarks like these. Yes it is entertainment and yes it is about money, but so what? What's your hobby? Film, books, video-games? That's only entertainment and "all about money" too!

 

The NFL is not scripted. Not even close. I have a friend that plays for the Chiefs (from my home town). It's as real as it gets.

Indeed.I see people here are STILL in denial about this and just dont get that. They cant put two and two together that they wanted manning to walk out and retire as a superbowl champ so they made that horrible call early on which killed the panthers momentem they had going.

If anybody cant see that last years game was scripted as hell for the pats to come back and win after halftime,they are hopeless. the falcons passing on third and one when they could have easily ran it for the first down? give me a break. all scripted. Last years was almost as obvious as the other superbowl they won the year before against the seahawks.anybody who still does not believe that pete carrol threw that superbowl at the end,well they need to get out of tinfoil land.
