    I thought it would be nice to have an official thread regarding tonight's debate. I want to try and minimize as many duplicate threads as possible while creating an environment where a proper discussion can occur.

    I will make this a sticky thread, just for the night.

    Here are a few ground rules for the thread, and they will be enforced:


    • Be cordial and respectful in the manner in which you post- I don't care if you would rather put on a tutu and have a tea party with Hitler and Jeffery Dahmer than be kind to person you are debating with; this will not be a thread full of trolling and insults.
    • Stay on topic-there will many current events, social issues, favorite colors, blah blah blah brought up in the debate tonight which would all be fair game so this one should not be hard.
    • Follow all the other rules of this website. (no vulgarity, obscenity, etc...)


    The debate starts at 9pm ET. I have no intention on watching it so I will be modding this thread pretty closely.

    I will add a poll later on so that members can vote on how they thing the candidates fared. ( I will do my best to avoid having the poll question and answers simple prompt a popularity contest.)

    Lehrer is looking much older this time. It is interesting that he is a southerner with a thick southern dialect but has assumed a midwest dialect for TV.
