https://www.independent.co.uk/voice...ls-corbyn-labour-win-kantar-icm-a9218306.html Personally I don't rate Wurzel's chances but you never know.
It's easy to cherry pick data. I didn't think the conservatives were going to do well in 2017, but this time around the polling clearly shows a Tory victory at this stage. https://www.theguardian.com/politic.../oct/31/uk-general-election-2019-poll-tracker Look at the aggregate polling. Tories out on 43 with Brexit Party practically non-existent. Johnson polling as very popular for a Western leader, outdoing all the media's hyped favorites like Jacinta Ardern, Justin Trudeau, Emmanuel Macron, etc. Corbyn has a 43-46 split in the Labour party on likability. It is, simply put, looking like an absolute disaster for Labour. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.th...-conservatives-on-course-for-68-seat-majority 68 seat majority. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.ft.com/content/80b6c686-1052-11ea-a7e6-62bf4f9e548a There is no sugar coating it. The Independent should be ashamed of themselves for this level of false reporting.
The Independent is a (sort of) newspaper and is therefore incapable of shame. That said, these guys have Boris down to a 12 seat majority https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/homepage.html As you say, probably a lot of eye wash but it does look as though the only reliable poll is going to be the one on 12-13 December.
You mean like Tony Blair? He did a good job last time and he is clearly keen on having another shot at running the party, but it won't be easy. His real problem is that in the late 90s the grassroots were tired of losing and so rallied behind him. But these days it is hard not to believe that the brothers and sisters secretly enjoy the prospect of going down in glorious defeat.
Blair did a good job with the New Labour idea. He's finished as a politician since Iraq, though. It's hard to get inside the heads of the current Labour lot. They chose an unelectable leader and then a set of policies which are not do-able. As you say, a glorious defeat.
