That's another way to deal with it. I am a bit curious how that decision was reached and whether it was unanimous, though.

How is this blow back for Trump? What the Steelers are doing is giving their fans the middle finger.

Who gives a **** if someone takes a knee during the anthem. This has grown way out of proportion.

I'm disgusted with these whining players. I'm only going to watch my team, the Giants, when they're televised here in NM and I'm only going to watch up until they start to get blown away which will be about half way through the first quarter.

If you guys want to do your own protest here's what you can do: If you have cable TV, not satellite TV, cable TV, you need to know that all the big companies now stream their video content because your cable box is essentially a modem. What that means is the cable companies now know exactly what channels you're watching and for how long, it's the most accurate ratings system extant. What you also might not know is that when you turn your tv off the cable box is still on and streaming. So if you want to protest, change the channel during the commercials and absolutely change the channel before turning your tv off. Put it on Fox. If you want to know more, then check out a technology called switched digital video.

Ravens players knelt too during the anthem, yet somehow they got blown out by the Jags.

....and I'll stay in my house and watch movies during the games. When Major League Baseball went on strike in 1994 I quit watching or going to games. I was a avid fan and collector of baseball gear. Today I could not tell you the names, or very few, of any of the players and back then I knew the names of just about all the teams. This year I have boycotted all games and withdrawn from playing Fantasy Football also. (I use to play Four leagues)

I also gave up on MLB after that strike, especially the way they did it, they waited until all of the players got a full year's pay and then stuck it to the fans and owners during the playoffs.

Nobody stopped watching when th NFL allowed guys who drove drunk and killed people to play, but some exercise their 1st amendment rights in a peaceful manner and that drives people away?
Good, mayb it'll drive down salaries, ticket prices and the constant need for new stadiums. Wish it had happened before the Raiders decided to move

Good deal; spend time with your family and friends instead of wasting the day sitting in front of the TV.

The orange twitten fuhrer politicized football.

If you going to play the game, you have to be able to take the hits.

The kapernikenfurur politicized football not the clown man.

If all goes well, the NFL will be decimated by allowing these stunts to fester and become the new fashion statement. And trust me, that's ALL it is a fashion statement.

As a taxpayer that funds the millionaire player's great seat club here in K.C., I will actively lobby for the destruction of the sports complex here in Jackson county Mo. And I won't be the only one.

    Move them to St Louis.

    ... I won't be watching this weekend.

Let the league continue to decline financially until they stop the politics.

Think I read somewhere you could pick up Charger tickets for about $35. Was a bad move on their part.

Of course. People watching football want to identify with the players. The fans can understand and identify with people who drive drunk. They do it themselves.

But the fans can't identify with people who don't love their country.
