The rapture bunnies are at it again: Biblical prophecy claims the world will end on Sept. 23. http://www.foxnews.com/science/2017/09/15/biblical-prophecy-claims-world-will-end-on-sept-23-christian-numerologists-claim.html [Wouldn't you know it. I have plans for Sept 23 and now I will have to cancel them because of the end of the world! Very rude if you ask me. The bunnies will be out tip-toeing through the tulips and the rest of us will be dragged into the pit. Us Atheists on the board are going to be having a bad, bad day. Oh well....what are you going to do? ] -------------------------------------------------------------- "libido sciendi"..... the passion to know.
Not surprising. What disappoints me is that Faux News made this a story and published it under Science.
If these people weren't so dishonest, they would look at 1 John 2:18 and realize that the end times came (and went) nearly 2,000 years ago already. Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. Either that, or that is one LOOOONNNGGG last hour.
There's probably money to be made out of things like this, the same as the evangelicals who claim that gay men cause earthquakes and similar stuff. The world is full of low intelligence people who will believe what they are told. Look at the success that religion in total has: it's an excellent business model, especially if you get them young.
