    An earthquake will destroy a sizable portion of the coastal Northwest. The question is when

    Wow. A long read but worth it if you are interested in earthquakes and tsunamis.

    Interesting article. I lived in the NW for two years, based out of Portland, and there was talk about this...basically the region could sink into liquified soil.

    Being from the Mid-West I'm more familiar with the New Madrid fault which they say will also usher in an earthquake of devastation.

    It appears a shift of this tectonic plate in the NW could literally drown the region in seawater. Let's hope this never happens.

    A four minute earthquake would completely devastate a city.
