When a friend of mine invited me to the States, I refused, I didn't go. This is the reason:

This video literally gave me chills through all my body and my bones. And it's so disturbing that the murderer was only thinking about his "prison sentence" and jail. Kept repeating it. He didn't think he just murdered a woman. Didn't say. That's gut-wrenching. You can get killed like that nowadays. Over nothing. Not even being a suspect.

And people worry about "gun control". What we need is a "Police control", or even better, ban the Police. Maybe even make them gunless Bobbies.

I'm kidding about the Bobbies but now seriously, the average IQ for a PO must be seriously upped. Happy trigger shooting must stop.

And now the family of the woman filed a lawsuit that cost the county $2 million dollars. Great. Hard earned taxpayer money gone because of a single lady-killer.

It's called "collateral damage", pal.

I't much better though than hordes of "above the law" gypsies plundering and humiliating normal people and police watching helpless.

The video title says accidental shooting yet you claim it was murder. That's OK, we don't need any foreign anti-police people here, we have enough Lefties for that.

He was attacked by a dog - probably a 'Staffie', 'Pittie', or a 'Rottie' - and accidentally shot her instead - **** happens! Was it her dog? If so, it serves her right, and my sympathies are wholly for the officer. It was obviously his worst nightmare come true.

Oh dear. He was going to bitten by a pooch! Man....I agree that is really life threatening. Well worth firing a couple of shots off and killing someone. One bite from a pooch and it's over. Yer dead. Well done you stupid gun happy person but hey, that's the way it is in the good old USA (rhyme intended.) I (not) proud of you and your gun culture.

Three men - a civilian and 2 police - were almost killed here a few days ago by a couple of killer-dogs. Nothing makes me happier than to read that one or other of the devil dog breeds turned on its brain-dead owner.

You learn to avoid the police living here and utilizing them as a final last resort only.

Many of them aren't horrible people but usually it's a few that gives a majority of them a bad reputation. Inner city cops are the worse in my opinion but the rural country sheriff or the highway patrol officer are usually nice people.

It's a two way street nowadays,
if you come to the states you have to undergo vetting.

Nope. He was not attacked. The dog was an Alsatian. His own statement said that he had the "sensation of being bitten". All the dog was doing was growling. There was no reason to try and shoot the dog.

You dismissed the entirety of one of the largest, most populous and diverse countries in the world on the basis of a single incident involving two individuals?!?

Although very tragic, it's clear that this was an accidental shooting. There's 30 or so homicides that happen every single day in this country.

One point being is why was there any shooting at all. According to a report the officer already had his gun drawn when he got out of his car. The dog did not attack him. There were no bite marks on the officer, the photo of his leg taken by hospital staff. The dog is seen approaching the woman after he shot her and displayed no aggression at all. The officer used the dog as a scapegoat.

An investigation was done, he wore a body cam and he was not found to be guilty of any misjudgement. He slipped and his weapon discharged. It clearly was an accident. It's obvious from his reaction that it was an accident, he did not intentionally shoot her.

He intentionally fired his gun and he was found not guilty because he lied about the dog attack

yeah cops shooting unarmed civilians is a plague in the US.

    Bad and not enough training
No follow up or punishment for smaller offenses with police
Climate that instills fear for minorities and the public in general
    militarization of the police
Low to no sanctions for serious crimes and offenses
    ...

As long as these arent solved thats never going to imrpove and they will keep shooting civilians for no real reason.

You paint 350 million people with the color of one incident. Use some common sense. But if you prefer not to come, that is fine. Is there some reason we should care? Are you trying to get 350 million people to behave differently? And you worry about the IQ of a police officer.

Mostly. There are armed officers at key locations (parliament, major airports etc.) and armed response units available in each area but your average officer on normal duties won’t be armed. They generally don’t need to be and I believe the majority of officers still don’t want to be.

It's kinda silly to live your life based on an event that has a one-in-a-million chance of happening. You are more likely to die from a car accident or being hit by a bus in your own home town than being shot by the police in the US.
