But many verses, such as Q9:5 and Q9:29, teach Muslims to subjugate us under the boot of Islamic Law, as official second-class citizens - and I've never conversed with a Muslim who will condemn ANY of those Jihad-loving verses! A JIHADIST is their #1 hero (by far) of all time!

I don't believe so. That would be uncharacteristic of this crowd.

Odd logic when it wasn't supposed to cost taxpayers anything.

Because she's bargaining from a position of strength; DACA is near and dear to the democrats and it would appear that it is a maker or breaker for any deal that is going to be consummated between Trump and Pelosi. Trump does not offer a permanent solution for DACA instead offering a three year deal which is basically useless; there will be no wall unless Mexico pays for it as Trump promised they would during his campaign for president. If Mexico were to cut a check for the total amount tomorrow, I'm sure that would take the wind out of the democrats argument and they'd have no position of strength to bargain from.

The moral of the story is: never make a promise of that magnitude you cannot keep

They say what the boss tells them to say.
An example is taking down the .gov web site saying walls aren't needed.

And that of course is the most narrow interpretation of Trump's statement possible. Never mind that not doing something is infinitely worse.

She's not bargaining at all she is stamping here damn foot and screaming. Put it this way since this began Trumps approval rating is up among latinos not down. The longer this goes on and the more offers of Trumps that get shot down the more the blame shifts toward Pelosi - Schumer for most rational people.

I've yet to see her physically "stamp her damn foot and screaming" anything as you maintain. You claim trump's approval rating is up among latino's; that's wonderful but his overall ratings among the american population are down if you look at the polls.

    https://www.npr.org/2019/01/17/685539207/poll-trump-approval-down-slips-with-base

The blame is on him; Pelosi has explained to trump what is needed by democrats and what they offer in return and trump rejects them hands down. Trump "proudly" owns this shutdown as he admits it; okay, now he has to deal with it and he's finding that the democrats didn't collapse as he thought they would. another lesson learned by trump one would hope.

Yes what she offers in return is exactly Democrats always offer the Wimpy deal. Give us are hamburger today and will pay you next Tuesday, unfortunately there never seem to be any Tuesdays in the Democrats calendar. So, no, Trump isn't buying that load of crap nor should he. What slippage there is with the base is because he looks like he's caving with that last offer.

Total BS, that is THE interpretation of what he said and everything else is just spin. Not doing something is where we are now and to be frank.........no one cares.

then why doesn't he show some leadership as president and reopen the government and make the wall/DACA a separate bargaining issue? at the least the government is back and functioning and the issue at hand can be addressed through separate negotiations.

What she handed McConnell was his own bills that did not have one single no vote, which would have opened the govt, wrapped with a ribbon. There is no longer any issues to discuss with respect to opening the govt. Pelosi already sent his ideas right back over. The govt is closed because McConnell does not want his own caucus to vote on the same bills they just finished passing l. Pelosi's job is done. If Trump wants the govt to open, he needs to negotiate with the man keeping this bills off his desk.

Wrong. There are as I have repeatedly pointed out numerous ways in which Mexico and other points South will pay for the wall none of which involve paying for its construction.

Well we will ensure that the American taxpayer does not have to fund the construction. Someone has to stand up for Trump's promises if he won't. You guys get that figured out with Mexico. Then after you get the Mexican parliament to pay for the wall, we can talk about the rest of these perceived benefits.
