You're comparing The Bible which is thousands of years old to a 1982 movie? Surely you can't be serious.

Yeah, that was kind of unfair of tecoyah of using The Last Unicorn. We actually know who wrote The Last Unicorn (Peter S. Beagle). No one has a clue who wrote Bible.

You are aware that the Bible is more than just one book, right?

And you think the two have equal historicity?

You don't think that I could easily find a video adaption of a Biblical story on Youtube?

Yes....the two are equally valid, that is my point. And I know you can provide a youtube/movie which is also my point. There is equal evidence for Unicorns and your God...as in none.

There is no need for me to respond to silly posts. The mere fact that you know the term indicates the writings exist. But if you don't like unicorns we can do Santa Claus, or ghosts, or zombies, or any fictional equivalent you desire.

    Saint Nicholas AKA: Santa Claus
    [IMG]
A 13th-century depiction of St. Nicholas from Saint Catherine's Monastery, Sinai
    Main article: Saint Nicholas
Saint Nicholas of Myra was a 4th-century Greek Christian bishop of Myra (now Demre) in Lycia, a province of the Byzantine Empire, now in Turkey. Nicholas was famous for his generous gifts to the poor, in particular presenting the three impoverished daughters of a pious Christian with dowries so that they would not have to become prostitutes.[7] He was very religious from an early age and devoted his life entirely to Christianity. In continental Europe (more precisely the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, the Czech Republic and Germany) he is usually portrayed as a bearded bishop in canonical robes.

The remains of Saint Nicholas are in Italy. In 1087, the Italian city of Bari mounted an expedition to locate the tomb of the Saint. The reliquary of St. Nicholas was conquered by Italian sailors and his relics were taken to Bari[8][9] where they are kept to this day. A basilica was constructed the same year to store the loot and the area became a pilgrimage site for the devout. Sailors from Bari collected just half of Nicholas' skeleton, leaving all the minor fragments in the grave. These were collected by Venetian sailors during the First Crusade and taken to Venice, where a church to St. Nicholas, the patron of sailors, was built on the San Nicolò al Lido. This tradition was confirmed in two important scientific investigations of the relics in Bari and Venice, which revealed that the relics in the two Italian cities belong to the same skeleton. Saint Nicholas was later claimed as a patron saint of many diverse groups, from archers, sailors, and children to pawnbrokers.[7][10] He is also the patron saint of both Amsterdam and Moscow.[11]

YES by all means prove santa claus is a fiction that never existed!

without any supporting facts. 10,000 of your opinions are no better and have no more validity than a single opinion. so try again, see if you can join the debate with something remotely sequitur this time.

That is just stupid. The current Santa Claus has no relation to St Nickolas. Try again.

Bet with a little effort you could demonstrate that the Easter Bunny really existed.

FALSE, says the man who doesnt bother to read or ignores all the posts that have included links/citations to credible sources.

NA's debunked nothing, hence their being reduced to ad hom name calling and instead of discussing the atheist religion shifted the goal posts to proving God exists to cover their massive FAIL.

you said santa claus was a fiction, you FAILED, santa claus is not a fiction so suck it up buttercup.

and the irony is that tecoyah likes the fact that you are wrong. :applause:

Yeah...that works too. by the way Santa is NOT St. Nicholas, there is a reason for the two different names. One sells tuff for Xmas and the other is a saint.

and you wonder why the atheist movement is a grandiose failure

The Legend of St. Nicholas. The legend of Santa Claus can be traced back hundreds of years to a monk named St. Nicholas. It is believed that Nicholas was born sometime around 280 A.D. in Patara, near Myra in modern-day Turkey. Much admired for his piety and kindness, St. Nicholas became the subject of many legends.Feb 16, 2010
    Santa Claus - HISTORY

    https://www.history.com/topics/christmas/santa-claus

The man [not fiction as you and court jester pretend] we know as Santa Claus has a history all his own. Today, he is thought of mainly as the jolly man in red, but his story stretches all the way back to the 3rd century. Find out more about the history of Santa Claus from his earliest origins to the shopping mall favorite of today, and discover how two New Yorkers–Clement Clark Moore and Thomas Nast–were major influences on the Santa Claus millions of children wait for each Christmas Eve.

As usual, some business ******* commercialized something held sacred by in this case Christains.

I keep thinking that at some point you people will post something that resembles reality, thankfully I havent held my breath, once again, suck it up buttercup.

I guess you don't understand want, will, conflicted, and "all-powerful". That is very characteristic of "believers". They think there's a god who just casually, imperfectly "wants" this or that, .... like a human. .... --rambling thoughts, you know. And so there are some things this "god" wants that he doesn't get, -though he wants it. So he's frustrated in his wanting. Just one more of the many instances of anthropomorphizing a "pure" god that isn't so pure with his conflicting wants and hate and anger. Very human.

"Why do you think that 'WANT' means that it will happen?"

Because it means he isn't in control of his wants, needs, will, power, non-power, and desires. You would do just as well to worship Trump.

NAs? I've coined 'MADAs', to describe this social movement phenomenon.

'Militant Attack Dog Atheists', is a fitting description for these religious bigots that have nothing but disdain and hatred for theistic beliefs. Since they have so many colorful terms for non atheists, it is only fair they have a descriptive label of their own! :)
