I have worked in a factory with offices and was a clerk. i found that i had the right attitude, and others were not concerned with theirs, instead bringing personal life into the office. this made me think i was better than them, and that was the wrong attitude from me. this did lead to some social problems, as i was so childish i made games out of everything when i worked, working as fast as i can, as, all i smelt was coffee and cigarettes. then i saw sloth. it was horrible. this happens everywhere i suppose, but, this was a lenient work place. of course, in a work place too formal, the pressure gets to you too. how do we find a nice working environment that produces?

Well, it comes from the rules, the work load, the deadlines and the moods. i find that if the workers are given little incentives, they will perform. things like pagers could work out well, and maybe even a realistic sexual harassment rules list would help? then, the staff could all be allowed to check on their suppliers withing the company to clear 'bottle necks' and get the work flowing. setting deadlines for the end of the day and beginning of the day does not work out well - there should be some effort by the bosses to make sure that as soon as an order comes through, the deadline for processing of the order, logistically, gets set at ten minutes after the order is given, with the help of pagers or smses or even calls made quickly to cell phones. this will make the plans come through quicker, and, then they will know when the suppliers or customers will be available to hear them. trying every twenty minutes will make sure that they are getting it done quickly so that they can be set at ease with everything working it's way through, and maybe it is a hard pill to swallow to be asked to be bent over backwards like this for others, but it is necessary for the best work ideals. imagine getting a instruction int he early morning, and calling the people once, then waiting for a call until the end of the day; things are competitive and happening all around the world while some person is cleaning their monitor or air conditioner or whatever, and then they lose out on valuable 'exchange rates' and stuff.

Let's say there is a ton of metal at your supplier? if you were to wait until they call you back, other people are on the phone buying it up! this means you will only get your call with either the worst quality metals, or, you might even have to pay more due to supply? things like this happen all the time.

Does anybody have anything else they have seen and thought it was strange, and, have any ideas on how to 'cure' it?
