You could say that but then it would not be a human being would it? Do two cells think? Do they love? Do they reason? No. The reason this has become a defacto definition by the religious is that it makes the question I asked immaterial. The only problem is, philosophers have been grappling with this for thousands of years and as yet, no one has come up with a definition that keeps up with our knowledge and technology. Say down the road it will be possible to keep a head alive without the body. The body can be kept alive alongside it. Which one is a human being?
