First you refuse to admit that you receive a federal subsidy for your insurance yhat other Americans do not get, then you make up another untruth. Your annual $250 billion entitlement is not in any way impacted by the Affordable Care Act. Quite the contrary, it depends upon its continuance.
They Senate is not intentionally harming the country because of political demands they cannot achieve through legitimate means. See how that works? Please identify the specific political demands they cannot achieve through the legitimate means the Senate has made to pass a budget. Thanks. We'll see what your answer is.
Withholding funds is a legitimate means. It is even Constitutional. Obama previously negotiated with conservative Democrats that did not want to raise the debt ceiling.
Intentionally and knowing harming America because you cannot achieve your political goals thru legitimate means is never appropriate. If Obama were threatening to destroy the economy if the House didn't agree to a 10% tax increase on millionaires he'd be just as wrong as the Republicans are. It is not legitimate to operate through the extortion of intentionally and knowingly harming your country. It is what terrorists and traitors do.
Sorry, by self-insuring, your company qualifies for the subsidy. If offering group insurance did not entitle businesses to the $250 billion annual tax exemption, few, if any, would offer plans, and you would have to pay full premium in the free market like all other Americans.
I agree, so why doesn't the Senate pass the budget bills that have been sent to them? - - - Updated - - - Ah, a tax exemption, as if our money belonged to the government. That is different than the socialist redistribution of wealth where they steal from one to give to another.
I can see that you are loather to acknowledge the fact that you benefit from the federal subsidy for which 48 million Americans do not qualify. If you decided to go the free market route (like me, as a self-employed American taking responsibility for my medical expenses and those of my family) and actually paid your own way, how much more expensive would it be for you without your federal benefit?
Whatever Dude. The fact is the Republicans are in a lose, lose situation. They can fold under and look weak, which will make Obama look strong, or they can stay the course and then Obama can swoop in at the last minute and save the day with the 14th Amendment Option, and look strong and decisive. The only choice the Republicans have now, is which way they want to lose. All Obama has to do is sit back and watch them sweat.
So which way do you think your people are going to go? They gonna holdem, or fold em? You don't need to answer. I'll find out soon enough. Oct. 17th is not very far away. [
This disastrous strategy will only lead to further internecine rancour. One consequence is that congressional rabble rouser Cruz has sabotaged his own chances for the GOP presidential nomination, but that still promises to be an especially entertaining exercise in futility.
The GOP is like an animal in a trap. They can chew off their Tea Party leg and free themselves and possibly survive, or they can stay in the trap and die. I'm not sure which option they'll take. Most suicides back out at the last minute and end up being suicide "attempts". But when you are dealing with crazy people like the Republicans, you never can tell.
When Reagan ran for office, the dems were thrilled because they thought he was too conservative. Last two elections they ran their democrat light choices. You see how well that worked out don't you?
I like watching Miami Vice reruns and listening to those good old power ballads myself, but face it Dude, the 80's are over.
So, now that the wacko bird's stunt blew up in GOP kissers, as predicted, they're just hoping that 2014 will be far enough away.
So Obama And Reid shutdown the government refusing to negotiate even accepting the GOP to just delay the personal mandate and what is going to happen anyway? A delay in the personal mandate.
