Despite the way things developed after Donald Trump’s election, I promised myself that I would never advocate for impeachment…no matter what. But institutions vital to democracy and our national security have become so endangered at the hands of this incompetent narcissist, that I have done a 180. I signed onto the Tom Steyer petition this weekend…and made a commitment to urge others to do the same thing. I’m hoping the Muller investigation will come up with sufficient grounds for impeachment (I’m almost positive it will) and I think that advocacy for impeachment (like the Steyer petition) will provide motivation and “cover” for Republicans to actually make the move. Let’s acknowledge: It is a tough move for them to make. With enough public support, however, it may be possible. I’m visiting each of the fora where I have posted in the past to urge the folk there to give the petition some thought. For any of you reading this who have not visited the site, I hope do…that you you give it serious consideration…and find a way clear to sign onto it.
