Unfortunately, I was right: without an effective Gronkowski, they had no chance.

On the positive side, the end of the football season means only two weeks until spring training opens!

    Goodness gracious yes.I wonder why.
I must say maybe Obama is to blame. He couldn't stand the
thought of any ONE commercial usurping his image.
Like we all have to keep in mind,at ALL times who we
are beholdin' to.That sort of Egomania.

Brady proved that he is not in the same class with either Eli Manning or Ben Roethlisburger....He could have put the game away late in the 4th quarter but threw two horrible passes in the clutch to wide open recievers (Welker & Branch), forcing his team to punt the ball to the great Eli Manning with 3:50 left on the clock....The weak Patriot defense then stood around as Eli picked them apart until they desparately just gave up and let the Giants score...The QBs were both well rehearsed, but one of them choked badly when it counted.

    Cheers

I liked the one with Howard Stern and the firehose, and I also liked the halftime commercial for Chrysler with Clint Eastwood.

The rest were a waste of advertising money in my lowly opinion.

Don't like either team, but as a Philadelphian I will never backed the giants...no self respecting eagles fan ever could.

The Belichick/Brady Dynasty has been cursed ever since they got exposed for videotaping Jets defensive signals in 2007.

    Cheaters never win.

I watched Kelly Clarkson performed the National Anthem on You Tube. There was a fair amount of background noise but she was fantastic! She should sing it every year.

I did not notice this thread saturday when i talked about this on another football thread so I am posting now that I picked the Giants to win. Here is the proof that I did and why I thought they would.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/off-topic-chat/225040-nfl-playoffs-here-23.html

Here is WHY The Giants will win.

I hate the Cheatriots because Belecheck is so freaking over rated.Without Tom Brady he is nothing.Brady resurrected his career. His first year in New England when he had Drew Bledsoe as his starting quarterback he had a losing season, then Brady came on and the rest is history. Also being objective and getting past my hatred of the patriots, this is why I think the Giants will win as well.

I see The Giants winning this from the patriots again. This team is just like that team from 2007,coming on strong at the end of the season and playing well when it needed to to get into the playoffs.Their defense is looking great and that will be too much for tom brady to handle.Three other reasons I expect the giants to win.

1.they own the patriots beating them when they were previously unbeaten in the superbowl four years ago and this year on the road at foxboro and they did not have one of their first string receivers then or their featured running back either due to injurys.this time they have them both and that will be too much for the suspect pats defense to handle.

2.The patriots have not played a GOOD football team in the playoffs yet.The Broncos? what a joke.Teabow has been exposed that when he faces a GOOD team,he is a horrible quarterback. and come on the Ravens with Joe Flacco at quarterback? get serious.that team will never get to the superbowl with flacco at quarterback. Plus more than anything,The Patriots shouldnt be there in the superbowl.

People can blame the loss all they want on the ravens kicker but even if he makes that field goal all that does is send them into overtime which guaranteed them nothing. It never should have come down to that kick. That reciever in the end zone dropped a pass that was knocked out of his arms that a GOOD receiver would have hung on to so since the ravens are the team that should be there and really are the better team defensively, the pats have finally met their match.

3.this game is going to take place in Indianapolis.Colts fans have first shot at the tickets and you got to remember, this is the city that loves and worships Peyton Manning and not only do they hate Tom Brady and the patriots,Peytons little brother Eli is playing there so most fans will naturally be rooting for little brother Eli to win especialy since the Giants fan base travels extremely well much better than the patriots fan base does so it will seem like a home game for the giants and a road game for the patriots which is a big edge for the Giants.

Just think if the pats receivers dont have a few critical dropped passes and have those two crucial penaltys on defense, the one on their own ten yard line where they caused the giants receiver to fumble the ball and they recovered it but the giants got it back due to the pats having 12 men on the field which resulted in the giants first touchdown and the second one where the Giants were stopped at their own ten yard line on 3rd and 7 but got the ball back because a patriots lineman was offsides and it became 3rd and 2 instead which they converted keeping the drive alive which because of that,Eli was able to complete that 40 yard pass down the sideline which later helped them get their second touchdown.

Just think,if the Patriots dont make those mistakes we would be hearing now how Bellecheck is the greatest coach ever and Tom Brady the best quarterback ever.Well Brady is one of the best no doubt about that Bur Belecheck? without Tom Brady he is nothing.Brady single handedly resurrected his career. Now with this latest loss by the patriots.maybe all this crap about Bellecheck being the greatest coach ever will FINALLY cease.:-D:mrgreen:
