Heh, at least she has been there and seen first hand, unlike most of the internet jocks here.

LOL Face it, your narrative was blown out of the water by real life "moderate muslims" tell us all again how our ears and eyes are lying to us!
BTW, your red herring that I suggested the koran supports terrorism is a sure sign you are struggling.

So she is armed with all the information WE can have [teaching/internet/etc]. Except she also benefits from first hand information.
Regardless if she was escorted, her knowledge potentially still trumps ours.

She obviously got special treatment. Also she could not have driven had she wanted to.

How so? The video asks if that they believe that "if it is from allah, it is the best punishment possible"? I think if you asked proper christians a question "if it is from god, it is the best punishment possible?" you would find they agree. What exactly about this video makes you believe that they don't disagree with terrorism as per your original post?

Wut? You quote the koran without any real knowledge of it [I have no real knowledge either] and you suggest I'm struggling? Your original post to start this thread had terrorism all over it [you mention it twice]. Then I reply saying the video has nothing about terrorism in it. Then then you exclaim and post some koran quotes. I'm not handing out any colored fish, I maintain that the video is fairly useless in "proving" anything either way.

I'm happy she got special treatment, it doesn't negate superior knowledge.
All countries can't suddenly drop all forms of oppression. Switzerland and Portugal didn't give women the vote until the 70's. The world is not a linear place that inherits freedoms based on the most advanced country. SA only gave the vote this year I think; progression, yes, but any country is fooling itself if it thinks it has zero work to do. Some have more to do than others of course.

Do you ever read the Arab Newspapers? They speak out against the terrorists every day.. They also arrest them, freeze their assets and share intel with the US and the Europeans.

I did get special treatment that trip because it was the centennial and they were promoting friendship between American expats and the Saudis.. but the larger picture is that the Saudis are very proud of their relationship with Americans who live and work in country and zealous about their safety and the safety of their citizens .. including those Saudis who are Shia.

Bedouin women have been driving for decades.. and most women drive on university campuses and inside compounds.. There are many reasons that women don't drive in Arabia.. having to do with safety, road side services and such.. Remember that as recently as 1950 the only vehicles in KSA were a few taxi cabs and oil company vehicle which all had sandtires, two way radios and traveled in groups... There were very few roads.

But apparently men, manly men that we are, are able to surmount these obstacles, as do women in every other country in the world. :confusion:

My guess is that they aren't in much of a need these days. No great persecution towards them. When that happens I'm sure you'll see the lefties gathering up to support our brothers, the christians.

Traffic is a perfect horror in Saudi Arabia.. I am a good driver, and I wouldn't drive in Arabia.

No it doesn't.. These hate sites won't tell you the truth about what the Koran and they depend on your ignorance.

The rules for defensive warfare are spelled out in the Koran.. They are forbidden to kill women, children, the elderly and livestock. They are forbidden to destroy, crops, trees, buildings and water sources... and, as soon as the enemy signals a readiness for a truce or ceasefire , they are obliged to sit down and negotiate.

You should probably read the Koran for yourself.. Then you couldn't be mislead by a bunch of ignoramus.

Our eyes and ears are an imperfect measurement of reality. Even worse that which we perceive passes through the filter of our perspective which colors how we interpret that which we perceive. The OP is based upon ancidotal evidence rather than an objective assessment of Islam as a whole. There are plenty of polls on support for terrorism amongst Muslims where the support for terror varies wildly from country to country, but overall the overwhelming majority do not support terrorism.

Oh have driven in Arabia, but I was out in the desert.

Don't lecture me about Arabia when you have never been there... Makes you exactly like Spencer, Emerson, Bauer, Brigitte Gabriel, Horowitz, Jihad Watch and other insta-pundits who earn their living peddling hate and ignorance.

At some point they will publish the 28 redacted pages..

Did you run into any Israeli art students before 9-11.. I did.. They were in our secure office building which contained the DEA and an FBI office..

The next day the FBI computer office had a fire and HAZMAT evacuated the whole building.

It is a video and anecdotal. The ancidote is the personal account rather than facts based upon research. The speaker does not speak nor represent nor typify 1.7 billion Muslims, to believe otherwise is illogical by my measure of logic. In the video where the audience is called upon to raise their hands can be biased as an unknown number of the audience will raise their hand to fit a perceived norm rather than stand out. Also attending the conference may represent a group of Muslims rather than typifying the whole of Islam. The polls I have seen on the issue varies widely as Muslims are not united on all aspects nor interpretations of the Quran.

The video in anecdotal as it is not based upon research.

Just like a typical liberal, always trying to look like an authority on something they no absolutely little about.
Why don't you tell us all what the Quran calls for punishment when a married woman commits zina!

Adultery or fornication is not a death penalty sin in Arabia.. She might get public humiliation as in a lashing.. more than likely she would just get a divorce.

I am not a liberal.. I just know that a video produced by a half wit won't teach you very much about Islam or Muslims.
