No, the 2nd Amendment is not the cause of our problem. What part of "Shall not be infringed" do people not understand in the ever patriotic amendment? The 2nd is vital to maintaining our sovereignty and our lives. It's vital in preserving our precious 1st Amendment.
The Yemenese are fkd until reject the evil of mysticism and embrace the goodness of reason, i.e., until they reject Eastern theology and embrace Western Enlightenment.
Bizarre. Guns don’t move the world, ideas do. Your home grown guns are an adolescent’s spitballs against professional soldiers and Apache Gunships. You go ahead. Try and overthrow a nuclear power with a professional army by using deer rifles and revolvers...you’re gonna lose, bloody big time. To defeat tyranny you need more than weekend bravado and target shooters, you need moral ideas. For Example: “There is a fundamental conviction which some people never acquire, some hold only in their youth, and a few hold to the end of their days—the conviction that ideas matter . . . . That ideas matter means that knowledge matters, that truth matters, that one’s mind matters . . . .”—Ayn Rand http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/benevolent_universe_premise.html
It's the fundamental concept of individual rights and liberties that the second amendment emphatically reinforces.
Go for it. Who, what, where, why, and when did a “bunch of sheep herders” overthrow a nuclear power, with modern day gunships, and a professional army?
US topples democratically elected, governments that do not abuse their people, US support authoritarian governments who execute people on mass and support terrorism. The US cries about other countries trying to mess with US elections. The US is a hypocrite.
We don't want gun registration like Germany had. A tyrant will come to power in such conditions, and once the net is down no rebels will be able to break free under modern technology.
Not it's the fault of people like you who can't read. The man was part of the Saudi military, the air force in fact. So he was here likely because he's a trusted friend of the Prince, you know the guy who murders people and is buddies with your friend Trump? Anyway, he wouldn't come here as the result of any "lefts open door immigration policy" but rather as the result of a right wing military one that wants to further our interests in the Middle East for oil. Not exactly a rallying cry of the left, but I'm sure you didn't or can't read this post either so go on and reply with nonsensical garbage.
No it's not. Many nations without such an amendment have both their Sovereignty and their lives. And not it's not, the 1st Amendment like the 2nd doesn't prop up the other. That's just something gun supporters say to bolster their argument. In fact, a gun is a great way to REMOVE the 1st Amendment right, just ask anyone black who lived in the south about 40 to 50 years ago or so.
Oil is the only reason to have a proxy war with Iran. Who we import oil from is irrelevant, the price of oil is relevant and having control over that matters. In fact, the price of oil is the sole reason we politically support Israel. It's the justification for us to put military hardware right next to oil producing countries. It's the reason we fight to keep the dollar as the international monetary unit for oil as well. Your chart doesn't really paint the entire picture. Saudi Arabia, Iran, and much of south America can flood the oil market or choke the supply to the point that it impacts the price and hurts our economy. That's what we are fighting over, cheap milk, it's what we always fight over. There is no reason to fight with Iran other than they can impact the price of milk in America.
Nobody is talking about overthrowing anything except you. Try being honest for a change. Moral ideas without guns to back them up mean very little in the face of a determined tyrant. Do you know of any philosophers besides Ayn Rand?
Sure he does alinsky .. The RulesEdit "Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have." "Never go outside the expertise of your people." "Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy." "Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules." "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." "A good tactic is one your people enjoy." "A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag." "Keep the pressure on." "The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself." "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition." "If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside." "The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative." "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."
