Wow! What a cool place. They have internet so they have running electricity.. The majority of the townspeople live in this building. There is an indoor store, indoor Church and they have private rooms. Kind of like a really nice hotel. Noone gets into this town except when the tunnel gets opened up. Must be like living in a small community.. Where would the income jobs be though? Don't they have to pay for rent and stuff?

I have been there a few times, my cousin had a fishing boat he kept there.

And there are other houses there, as well as businesses. But the majority of them are only used seasonally, primarily by hunters and fishermen during the peak seasons. Years ago I served with a guy that had a house in Whittier. It came from his Grandfather who had built it, and he only went up there once a year or so to ensure it was still in good condition. But other then family members who lived in the area using it during salmon season, it was unoccupied.
